I wish I’d bought this years ago. I have struggled with back and neck pain since a car accident in 2006. I’ve tried tons of gadgets, most ended up collecting dust in my closet because they just didn’t work. I have found acupuncture to be effective, but it’s expensive and difficult to find the time in my schedule. I bought this after eying a much more expensive version for months. I figured, at this price, what do I have to lose? I was apprehensive about using it the first time because those little spikes are sharp! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really didn’t “hurt”, it mostly felt like a sort of prickly heat at first, and then after a few minutes I just felt warm and relaxed. The best part is that, after just one use, a painful knot in my shoulder that I had medicated for a week was almost completely gone. I have used the neck pillow independently a few times, positioning it to hit spots where I’m having pain, and within hours of use, the pain is gone or significantly subsided. Unlike many other things I’ve purchased, I actually look forward to using this because the endophin-fueled relaxation is awesome. About the product itself- the construction and materials are fairly cheap. I could see how the cotton might stretch over time or the styrofoam inside the mat might break down. For the latter issue, there’s a velcro opening at the bottom where the mat could be removed and replaced. I do like the inclusion of a carrying bag, as I will definitely be taking this with me when I travel. Overall, for the price, I think the quality is as expected, and, frankly, I really don’t care because the product is so effective. I highly recommend it.

The first time I laid on it I thought there is no way I am going to be able to lay on this for any amount of time. The relaxing feeling and calmness that comes after the minutes go by is strangely satisfying. I prefer to lay it on my bed so there is a little more give, but my husband also uses it and prefers to lay it on the floor. I think the pillow is a must, it feels so good on the neck and back of the head. I wish the mat itself was made of different fabric that did not collect so much lint, which might be a problem if you have animals.

I've owned a basic mat like this for several years. If I didn't already own one, I probably would've thought this one was great since I'd having nothing to compare it to. I bought this one mainly for the accessories. The one I have only came with a bolster type head pillow. I thought the larger sized pillow, back cushion, and foot pad would be nice to have as well. And I will use those pieces. But as far as the mat itself, I'm going to stick with my old one. It's much sharper. Perhaps it would be too much to take for some people. But I think the intensity of it is what helps. You kind of go through stages; at first it feels borderline painful. You may need to shift about to for a few minutes to find a comfortable position. After a few minutes you get used to it, and then this feeling of warm bliss kind of takes over. This one's not as sharp and therefore doesn't have the same effect. I didn't feel much of anything when I laid on it. The "cheaper" ones are actually much more efficient.

I love my “bed of nails” so much I bought another one for a gift. This is such a stress reliever for me. It is great for headaches and sore muscles after jiu jitsu. Really it is the first thing I reach for when I am experiencing any kind of discomfort or pain. I really do look for any excuse just to use it.

This acupressure mat set is well-crafted and lightweight, making it easy to use. Although I don’t have previous experience with acupressure mats, the discs with spikes are securely mounted and appear durable, suggesting it will last a long time. I’ve been using it on my sofa, but I plan to try it on a harder surface, like my carpeted floor, for potentially better results. I’m still assessing the effects, but after using it for a while, I’ll report back on how it improves my overall well-being. I put my shoe, a size 7, in one of the photos to show the size relationship. Also, it comes in a carrying bag in which it fits perfectly!

item description says size 49.2 x 16.9 inch. But actually what i received was 24 x 16.9 inch. Absolute cheating, as I had two 24 inch mat already.

Cheap rubbish - wouldn’t recommend.
