The water resistant fabric keeps you protected during unexpected downpours. This women's winter jacket is offered in multiple colors and sizes. Extended sizing available. Active and Regular Fit. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level. Review: Really nice jacket, hope it keeps me warm - I am 5'3 and 116lbs. I bought the Small so I can fit some warmer layers underneath. It actually is a very flattering jacket. A bit long on me (lands at just an inch or two above the knee). It is so lightweight, when I brought in the box, I thought there was no possible way a jacket fit in there. It's too warm here for me to tell if it's actually warm, but in a few weeks, I'll be testing it in Seattle's November. The hood is cozy and lined with nice fleece, and the sleeves were a good length for me - when I tried the heavenly short jacket, the sleeves were almost comically long. These land about mid-palm for me. I can't wait to wear it. I hope it packs up nice and small for my trip, and I will be eager to update how it goes. Overall, love this jacket (I wish it was a tiny bit shorter, but better too long than too short, right?) Edit: It was perfect for my trip! I went when it was 45-50 degrees and it kept me warm (perhaps even a bit too warm in certain settings, like being in the car, but that's not a downside) and it protected against windy weather super well. I wore a thick hoodie underneath and was very comfortable wherever I went. The hood is a bit small if you're wearing a beanie or a hoodie, but otherwise, I'd say it's a great jacket. My only gripe is that the arms aren't insulated as well as the rest of the jacket. When it began to drizzle I could feel the coldness of the rain on my arms, even though the rain didn't soak into the jacket. Review: Best investment ever - I was hesitant to buy a coat this expensive (I paid $150) in a climate that rarely gets below 40°, but I’d had it with trying to play in snow comfortably with my kid in a pea coat. This coat is the most amazing thing ever. I literally logged on to desertcart just to leave this review. It is so warm, so lightweight, so comfortable, just amazing. The zippers are YKK, so high-quality, and almost invisible. Pockets and hood are warm and fuzzy, and the sleeves have thumb hole fabric extending out past the coat sleeve edges, so that you can eliminate the sliver of wrist between your glove and your coat sleeve that always seems to find snow. It squishes down small enough to fit in a regular backpack but comes down past my bottom and has a roomy, fuzz-lined hood. My only plea, and this is not specific to Columbia or this coat, is that more clothing manufacturers should acknowledge the existence of the petite plus-sized person. I love my coat, but I have to reach a bit to get to the pockets because it’s too long in the torso for me. I am 5’ tall and purchased a plus size because I need the plus cut more than I need the petite cut, but for this coat to have literally been the coat of my dreams, it would have been available in a petite plus size so the pockets would have been closer to where my hands fall. But in the search for a cute, warm, water-resistant, lightweight winter coat, far-away pockets are a small sacrifice. This coat is a miracle.

Just what I was looking for
UPDATE: I've been wearing this coat on colder days during December and it is perfect. It keeps me warm without being bulky or heavy. And it's so well made I'm sure it's going to last me a good many years. Get one if you need a warm coat without the bulk! I haven't actually worn this coat out yet, but it is exactly what I was looking for. The fit is great (2X), I like the color and the style, and it promises to be WARM. I like the length down below my hips and the pockets. Has an attached hood that is fleece lined which will be nice in coldest weather. I almost always have good luck with clothing from Amazon...in my opinion, it beats running around to stores. This coat did not disappoint at all. Try it if you want a lightweight coat that has plenty of features to keep you warm in cold weather.

Get this Winter Jacket!!
I really like this jacket! I've worn it in 10 degree weather here in Michigan and it keeps me warm. It's not bulky and puffy like all these puffer coats. It's very easy to put on, warm, has a nice hood, and inside pocket and zipper pockets, also with the loops in the sleeves for your hands to go through! Well worth the price! Fast shipping, too! I purchased the black, size 2X. The quality is the best, and sizing is perfect. Keeps me very warm. I'm 5'5", 190 lbs., and 46 bust, and about 48 hips. I like some room in my clothing. The only thing I wish this jacket had was an alternative of snapping also with the zipper. Other than that....it's the perfect Winter in Michigan jacket!! Perfect length, too!

Very comfortable!
So I bought this coat along with the Columbia Mighty Lite to try them out side by side and ended up liking this one a little better for the following reasons. I love the fleece in the hood. I like the thickness of the coat, it's light but not too light. It's made very well. I like the nylon sleeve thumb holes. They add a very nice touch and definitely keep out any drafts. Here are a few things I don't love about the coat as well as some critiques/suggestions. I don't like the zipper. It's a left-handed zipper for one, which I had read in the reviews but had never tried one. It was very hard to figure out and I still don't always get it zipped on my first attempt. Essentially you don't need to align the left side all the way down to the 2nd zipper head. Just put it in the first one and struggle for a few seconds and then zip it up. My husband spent about 5 minutes working with it breaking it in before showing me how to do it. The zipper head (pull up part) on the other coat was much more sturdy, and I really liked the felt material on the inside of the zipper that actually zipped up to my mouth to keep my lips warm and soft. I ordered the XS in both coats and this one allows me to wear several layers like a sweater with a puffer vest and still have room to sit and move. The other one was more hour glass shape which I liked, but I was only able to zip it over one sweater and it was still a bit snug around my waist when zipped. So ordering that one in the next size up S which is a 4-6 would definitely have been too big. Adjustments to make for future models: Please PLEASE add fleece to the bottom foot of the INSIDE of the coat so that our legs can stay warmer when we are walking in super windy conditions, but leave the silky material on the outside so it still looks like a nice coat. I really think this would be an amazing addition. Please add more material to the portion that zips up to the face so that it covers the mouth without having to crame your neck down into the coat. Also, add something to help the warm fleece hood stay on! I shouldn't have to freeze my hand to hold the hood in place when it's super windy. Add like 2 inches of fleece or soft felt material to the inside of the zipper part that touches the mouth instead of cold silky material. Also make all of your colors the same price.... I wanted silver but it was $140, the very last beet red in my size was only $79. I'd buy more colors if your prices were more consistent. I realize this review looks like I have a lot of negative to say about the coat, but I still love it! I wear it every day I just wish it had a few more features to make it the #1 perfect coat. For reference, I'm 5'1" 100lbs petite and the XS is still roomy.

I don't drive, so I walk everywhere; this coat passed the test
I do not drive due to a seizure disorder, so I walk everywhere whether I want to or not, no matter the weather. I also have EDS, so my joints are great and get really sore/stiff. I live in Michigan, so the weather is always a fun rollercoaster and winters are very snowy/cold. I walk to work at 6:30/7am as well. I have used Columbia coats for years, and this is my favorite one yet. I swear by omni-heat. It really works. I feel like a little baked potato. All of my winter/fall coats have had it for the last decade or so. It allows me to wear one less layer than in the past. I bought a size large even though it is a bit roomy on most of me so I could easily layer. I can wear a sweater or a base layer on below 30 degree days. If it is above 30, I don't have to wear a base layer walking to work. Just a regular sweater, a crochet cowl, gloves, and this coat. I am 5'4'' and about 130-140 pounds, depending on my exercise routine. The coat comes to around my knees, which I love. I have a medium in an older version of this coat and it fits very well, just a tad tight in the chest (I am busty), so it was harder to layer. The hood has a nice soft layer to it. It isn't fleece, which is great since I am hypersensitive and don't like fleece. It is in the pockets as well. I like that the hood isn't too awkwardly tight. I can wear my big earmuffs with it. It also stays up pretty well on windy days too. There are sleeve things within the sleeves around the wrists with a thumb hole so the snow doesn't get in. I like that it is more fitted in the waist rather than a straight unisex style like other coats. It is more flattering when not wearing layers. Only complaint is that since I bought it a sizer bigger, it is a tad roomy in the butt/leg area so it can be breezy. I wish there was a drawstring or something down there, but not really a big deal.

Success after a long hunt for the elusive perfect winter coat!
I ordered and returned 11 mid-length down coats from stores like Lands' End, Eddie Bauer, and L.L. Bean this fall before FINALLY finding this Columbia jacket. Lands' End is my normal go-to for quality winter coats in petite sizes, but I just wasn't pleased with any of their options this year. L.L. Bean has some great coats, but the lack of petite sizes meant the sleeves were too long and none of the styles could accommodate a cuff. I can get by with rolling/cuffing sleeves in most items, but that doesn't usually work in a down coat. PROS *gorgeous color (I got Nordic Green) *nice mid-range weight -- warm but not terribly bulky; packable *great length -- covers your assets, but looks streamlined *double-ended main zipper allows adjustments such that you can wear while driving/seated *thumb-hole cuffs: soft and stretchy, lightweight enough to tuck back into sleeves easily or wear under gloves, subtle gray color *soft fleece hood lining (gray) and pockets lining *unexpectedly cuff-able! 1.75 in. of flexibility in sleeve length without compromising the thumb-hole inner cuffs *when fully zipped, the neck sits perfectly under my chin rather than awkwardly half-covering my face and getting makeup all over itself like many other coats POTENTIAL CONS (minor -- I'm being super picky) *unexpectedly bright metallic liner looks like foil (but is soft) -- this was more of a surprise to me than an ongoing complaint as you don't really see the liner when its zipped and very little even when unzipped due to its close fit *main front zipper quality is functional, but I would have liked a more refined finish to the pulls *I would have preferred both snaps and zipper or snaps only *hood is not adjustable (not much of a CON for me because I don't use the hood daily and the fit is so good I don't need adjustment) So...this is a great all-around coat and an absolute treasure if you have short arms!

Columbia Heavenly Coat is...Heavenly!
I needed a warm and water resistant coat for a winter trip to NYC. I had my eye on this coat for a while, but originally ordered a less expensive, different brand of coat from a competitor store. They sent me the wrong coat, so I came back to this one. I have a thin Columbia windbreaker that I love, so was hoping this would be THE COAT. Y'all. It's *almost* perfect. It's not bulky at all, but it is incredibly - surprisingly - warm. I loved the longer length and the sleeves with the thumbholes. I'm around 5'6", size 10 women's and ordered a large. I was easily able to layer a baselayer t-shirt and a medium weight sweater underneath and i didn't feel like the poor kid all bundled up in "A Christmas Story." The inside zipper pocket was *chef's kiss* for stashing my tiny zip wallet and OMNY card as we went about our day. It is sleek and not like an enormous puffer coat , so if I did take it off indoors to carry it was lightweight and wasn't like lugging around a king size down comforter. The only, and I mean only, negative was that putting the hood on and zipping all the way up was a bit uncomfortable. I opted for a hat so that didn't pose an issue. It honestly was not enough of an issue for me to dock a star - it's that great of a coat! Hoping it lasts through several winters and more travels!

Great product and good customer care even in India
The jacket itself is a great jacket, kept me warm and toasty in the winter in japan, but the cuff tore within two days of wearing it, which put me off greatly. The jacket was still within the 1 month returns period, so when I came back, I got in touch with the amazon customer care. They told me that without the original tags the product could not be replaced or exchanged. I had obviously not kept the original tags because I had not expected such an issue to come up. I got in touch by email directly with Columbia customer care, and with some push from me, they have replaced the product, without the original tags, saying that their products go though heavy testing for harsh conditions, and that the product I received must have been a defective product and they were sorry that i received it. I’m glad they took responsibility for it, because after paying so much money for a jacket, it was indeed a disappointment that it tore so quickly. Thank you Columbia, for your great service.

Great jacket.
Love love love this jacket. Ordered it in Navy. I originally bought the mighty lite iii in purple 1X and it was too fitted. This one fit perfectly and had a little extra room. Love the thumbholes and the little extra length in the back because most jackets are too short. Light and thin and very warm. Highly recommended.

Jacket is light and thin but warm
I bought this Columbia jacket for my winter holidays. It’s light and thin but it’s warm. My height is 162cm & weight 50kg. Bought size M so I could wear layers in it. It’s a nice jacket and got it at a good price too.

Beautiful Coat
I love this coat! It is stylish, the hood fits perfectly, the 2-way zipper works great with no fuss, sleeves are nice and long, and the color (Plum) is really pretty. I ordered a size up as suggested by a few other reviews, and it is also suggested on the Columbia site. It is keeping me warm in temperatures that are hovering just above zero…I might be good to minus 5 and then it will be time to switch to the down parka. I also love that it is lightweight, which is nice for when you’re indoors shopping. I imagine it will be great for rolling and stuffing into my backpack at the airport on trips to Mexico. I can’t find a thing wrong with this coat and highly recommend it.
