Gloomhaven/Frosthaven Player Character Dashboard with HP & XP Dial Trackers Set of 2 Birch Plywood Hero Organizer for Saving Your Table Space

Review Addendum(initial review below) - I used it today. It worked very well for me. Definitely a smaller footprint on table. The first one assembled using the supplied spacers and glue did not work out due to my unfamiliarity; the character card did not fit. Final recommendation: modify it by sanding down dial assemblies and using caution if gluing to avoid excess seeping into character card slot. Haven't used it yet, but it seems pretty well thought out and sturdy. Will edit review if anything major changes after playtest. There are three parallel card rows at top of organizer: each 137x3mm can easily hold two stacks of nine cards. I plan on using front row for hand with turn cards up front other rows for discard, lost, doom, and summons. Main slots are thick enough to easily hold two nine cards stacks. I like having slots for spent and burnt equipment. Equipment slots are 33x2mm and could easily hold six cards. The only thing I can't see it help organizing is cards that stay in play with tokens. Here's my modification. Only thing I did not like was three thin metal spacers(0.29mm) to make the HP/XP indicator wheels turn better. Gap made organizer glue not so good. On second one, I assembled numbered spinners and sanded them down about 0.4mm and was better able to glue layers together without using the spacers. If not using spacers, numbered dials will have to be sanded thinner so they spin well I recommend using a better file to smooth parts. I used a Diamond Deb.

My game group loves these player dashboards. It makes keeping organized much simpler, and really helps enhance the tactile feeling of the game. Pair this with a wooden box organizer and you’ve got something special.

They did not take long to assemble and they seem sturdy enough. There was a small defect in one that had a tiny section of rotten wood but that could have happened to anyone nothing to freak out about. My only real gripe is the dials for xp and health, there are large discrepancies in the size of these pieces which make some fit snug and well, but others are so tight you need to be the hulk to turn the dial. Overall, a good addition to your gloom haven experience.

I bought these along with Frosthaven after my group fell in love with Jaws of the Lion. Assembly was no problem for me (but might be for a person with arthritis or other fine motor skill issues). Packing in a file for the rough edges is a great touch. While technically not compatible, you can use these with the JotL character cards by rotating them to the right and still be able to see the health and hand size. The only negative that I didn’t feel warranted taking off a star was that a facade fell off one of the HP dials. No biggie!

I ordered this for our Jaws of the Lion game with hopes we can use it as we evolve into the main Gloomhaven game. It is a fantastic product at any price and a steal at 2 for less than $20. The instructions are serviceable and the assembly is intuitive - it took me maybe 20 minutes to assemble both boards. You don't need glue (although there are one or two pieces that benefit from a drop of super glue). As you can see from the pictures, the Jaws of the Lion cards fit fine if you put them in sidewise (which shouldn't matter as you're not reading or using anything on the card). There is lots of room for special cards and discards and little wells for those tiny pieces that are so easy to lose. I glued a foam board ledge on the front side (the black piece in the picture) to have even more room for the larger cards. It makes an elegant, easy set up that uses less than half the space. Don't hesitate to buy this!

How does this thing have ANY positive reviews? It's flimsy, 1000 parts that are impossible to assemble, with garbage instructions. I'll just deal with keeping my hp and exp on paper and leave my cards on the table.

Really impressed by the design and laser cutting of the wood. Pieces came out of the frames easily with very little wood residue. Super smooth assembly, a little glue was needed here and there, but overall great. A little sandpaper on the dials and they are smooth as silk. Using it in the game is a breeze and is great at reducing clutter and confusion. Really glad I bought this, need to buy another set in case anyone comes over to play a one-off.

This does not seem to be designed for 2nd edition character cards, something I didn't see anywhere in the product description. Bummer, because it was fun to put together and otherwise seems to work as I hoped.

Works fine. Really helps to organise the play area and tracking of HP and EXP. Just note that some character profile cards can’t fit in due to slight variation in size of the cards - not too big an issue as the profile cards can just be placed on the dashboard instead of in it.

Useful addition to the game

Well-made self-assembled wooden unit, makes playing Gloomhaven and Frosthaven immensely easier and more convenient. Highly recommend! We bought 4 for a friend as a present when they got Gloomhaven for Xmas and a further 2 for ourselves when we recently bought Frosthaven. It’s a good reminder of what you can carry as there are named & numbered slots.
