Almond Oil Mascara | Sensitive Eye Safe (Black, 10 ml)

I recently purchased this mascara in black and I absolutely love it. I've been trying to make more ethical buying decisions (no animal testing or animal ingredients, environmentally conscious, workers treated ethically), and that led me to this mascara. I was using Physicians Formula Organic Wear mascara and I hated that. It went on okay, but ended up all over my eye area within a few hours. It never really "dried." Before that, it was "they're real!" by Benefit, which was very mediocre. Here's why I love the Ere Perez mascara (in no particular order): 1. It smells amazing and almond-y. 2. It goes on like a dream (no clumps) and stays put throughout the day, even with my bad habit of rubbing my eyes when my contacts get dry. 3. It doesn't irritate my contact-wearing eyeballs, like other mascaras have done. 4. It washes off easily with water. I've read that others use oil, but water and washcloth has worked for me. 5. Cruelty free! This is very important to me. 6. No nasty chemicals that hurt both you and our beautiful planet. I don't think this product is 100% organic, but it cuts out the gross stuff. 7. According to the website, no child labor. 8. The mascara adds lots of volume and a decent amount of length, which is what I look for in mascara. If you're looking for insane length, this probably isn't for you. This makes for very natural-looking, lush lashes. I can't speak to the waterproof claim. I live in Southern California and it hasn't rained since I bought this mascara. I don't wear mascara in the ocean, because why would I? One critique for the Ere Perez company: the website mentioned nothing about treating workers ethically and paying them a living wage. No child labor is great, but I want to know that all workers involved in your company (production, packing, etc) are treated well. If we're paying around 30 USD for a tube of mascara, I think you should be able to guarantee this.

I was using Jane Iredale mascara before this, and in comparison, this is much better. It doesn't run, and stays on throughout the day. Color is dark, and I have zero irritation using this. My only complaint is that it goes on a little chunky (I prefer not to have clumps), and dries kind of hard (making my lashes feel stiff). Not the easiest to clean off, but then again, I generally don't try to wash it off every day either. Overall I think this was a good find and I will continue to use it!

I’m thrilled with my Ere Perez mascara in brown. It’s literally the first mascara I’ve ever used that hasn’t irritated my eyes and felt uncomfortable to wear, natural or conventional. I have sensitive eyes, and many conventional mascaras burn, and many natural mascaras flake off and irritate. I’ve been wearing mascara only a couple times a month for the last several years due to these issues. The Ere Perez mascara is giving me a new lease on my beauty routine. It’s not a dramatic mascara, but it keeps my thin, short lashes turned up and thickened enough to give me more lash presence. The brown color is flattering for my fair, muted coloring. And most of all, my lashes feel soft, functional, and normal while wearing it—not hard or tight or crusty, which I’d always thought of as the inevitable cost of wearing mascara. It definitely wears off a bit by the end of the day, but it doesn’t come off in flakes that irritate my eyes (like nearly every other natural mascara I’ve tried). The only downsides are that it takes a few pumps of the wand to apply—the applicator doesn’t seem to capture much product so you have to build it on, it’s not a swipe and go. It’s also a subtle look, and for special occasions I’ll probably use it with fake eyelashes. But for day to day, it’s got me wearing mascara again! Thank you Ere Perez!

I've ordered this a few times now, and for one thing - although not sure if this is due to seller or not, but it's happened each time only with this product out of many - it always shows delivered before it's actually left in my mailbox, and never delivered to my door like other packages. One time it never showed up at all and I had to get Amazon to send again. As for the actual product, the tube always comes very pastey and dry. I add some drops of natural oil to it to hep it loosen up, but it's still a struggle to get enough out for a decent application. That's not worth $30 at all, which is already an incredibly steep cost for mascara, let alone one I have to struggle with. Once applied, it's a good mascara that works just as well as any other smudge proof top brand I've tried, and is just as easy to remove if you know how to go about it. If getting it out of the tube was more agreeable then I'd feel a little better about spending this much for natural mascara, but I'm currently shopping around for other natural options.

I absolutely hated this product. It was kind of like a joke mascara. Even after 2 coats, it felt and looked like I had nothing on. It also has a very strange feel to it. I didn't even bother to send it back I knew I had wasted my money on this. I tossed it out that same day, especially after it was so difficult to remove.

Ere Perez mascara surprised me! I've been using DiorShow Waterproof for more years than I can remember. Every time I tried another product, I came back to Dior, because of the smudging/bleeding, or irritation. More recently, I've been trying to switch my makeup bag over to organic products, or at least formulations that are mostly organic. Mascaras are certainly the trickiest products to find satisfaction with in this category. Based on a favorable review posted on here on Amazon by another DiorShow devotee, I decided to try Ere Perez. I'm SO glad I did. My sensitive eyes have not been irritated at all by this mascara. From a performance standpoint, this mascara goes on very nicely and builds easily. It doesn't clump or make your lashes spidery. Only one out of the past 4 days have I noticed just a little bit of smudging, and that was after a hot, humid workout. Certainly not a deal breaker for me, especially because my lashes already seem to appreciate the lush oil base of this product. I'm really glad to add Ere Perez mascara to my makeup bag and look forward to checking out more products! Update: Just ordered my second mascara. Still loving this products and my lashes are looking healthier! No irritation to my sensitive eyes, and respectable staying power. I sometimes get bored with beauty products but this one is a keeper!

This is a beautiful organic mascara. I am very pleased with the coverage. There is no need to layer the mascara though you can if you prefer. The mascara goes on very smooth with no clumping. I have had no issues with smudging or raccoon eyes and the mascara lasts all day long without the need to reapply. I also love the almond scent. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this product.

Obviously this is not waterproof, which is my preference, but it does stay on well and the ingredients are wonderful compared to a department store brand. It has pretty, buildable coverage and a very feathery natural appearance. It also smells yummy, like almond extract. I wore it today in very hot weather and only had a little flaking- this is excellent since the last natural mascara I tried melted down my face. I would recommend this to a friend. Be forewarned however, mine dried out pretty quickly. At first I was happy because I like thick mascara, but I put it away for a few weeks and when I reopened it it was too thick to use and I had to toss it.

Good and did not irritate my eyes but not easy to remove- looks like waterproof and needs oily makeup remover which might be the cause of irritation!

The tube has some weird yellow staining on it. No seal, but not sure if its supposed to since this was my first order. The mascara inside was almost completely dried up.
