Assuming this tool performs consistently, it's likely to be a game changer. I paid my way through high school and college working construction, primarily doing carpentry. Most hand-held tapes were accurate to no more than 1/8" because of play at the riveted tape end, so on anything but rough framing or form work I preferred a folding tape with a sliding end piece. So when I bought this, I was amazed to find it is accurate to 1/32". It will give very repeatable results to 1/64", but since I can't cut that accurately I consider that degree of precision to be suspect. For the type of projects I work on this is more than precise enough, and more importantly it's repeatable over hours, minutes, days, and months. As an example, I did a 'rear seat delete' on my Mustang convertible, and used this rule to measure the interior dimension between the left and right bulkheads at the top of the seat bench. I put a piece of electrical tape on each side where I measured, and a couple of months later checked the measurement; it was identical to the 64th of an inch. Repeatability is as important when building something as it is when zeroing in a rifle, and this unit is something to count on. An added bonus is the rechargeable battery. After weeks of use, I got a low battery indication. Expecting to deal with sourcing some rare button cell or camera type battery, I was happy to find it uses a USB C connection to charge.

Laser measurements with this tape have been hit or miss for me. They've been up to 1/4 in (64mm) off at times. It appears to me this is due to the laser being somewhat misaligned with the bottom of the housing. I wouldn't recommend using it for anything that needs any degree of precision. But it's great for quick, rough estimates. The saving grace is the tape itself, which I can extend to 9+ ft (almost 3m) before it breaks. Both sides have measurement marks, and the back has both metric and imperial units. The magnets on the end are strong, but not too strong. When I reel it in, I don't feel like it's going to whip around and take my eye out. There may be traditional tapes out there with similar or better quality, but the additional function of the laser, for the price, makes this a pretty OK product.

I love this tape measure. I was able to take measurements up to 12’ as I measured, cut, and installed 13 i-joists to create a second floor for anew bedroom. This usually requires two people on step ladders to hold the tape measure and even then you get tape sag. Not with this device. All measurements had to be within 1/16” accuracy and they were. This enabled me to complete the job by myself. Pretty amazing and each recharge takes about 15 minutes and last for weeks. For short easy measurements, I use the tape. I love it. You will too.

Works great

its not the best tape measurer & it's not the best laser. but when you rather carry one, its good enough. bottom tape stop is not there & worst part is the back of unit is NOT flat - you have to somewhat tilt the tape to ensure the laser isn't canted. aka if u put this up against a wall to lase across the room, it wont be fully 90° with the wall you're measuring off of. literally a few millimeters of rubber could of solved this issue. for a $50 unit, its pricey given how far the market has gone in 2 years. $30-$35 while on sale but i almost never use any of the calculation modes given the innate flaw of taking a proper perpendicular measurement off a wall

The function of this is great everything is easy to use once charged it’s bright and the battery seems to to last a while and easy to read easy to use my husband loves it

Love this tape measure you can choose to start your measurement from the back of the device or front I wish it had more tape but it has a huge break point in the tape seeing how thick it is so measurements on your own are a lil more simple it's durable AF and I've literally charged it once since I've had it
