Amazing versus single use packs/wraps!!
The BEST THING EVER!! This ice machine was my best friend after my total hip replacement for pain relief and swelling control (which I had none of this time!). It was like night and day versus using single ice packs I elected to use from the last time around. The temperature was never too much and I could even put it against my skin or with clothes on, and it still was completely useful and tolerated! Played a key role in my recuperation. I used the smaller sized 8 ounce water bottles along with a mix of water-exactly as the directions stated how much water to put in. Worked like a charm. On a side note, I also rented a “Game Ready” ice compression system, and it was just way too cold and extremely uncomfortable to have the whole inner part of my leg freezing cold also, especially when I’m trying to sleep. I was shivering in bed with all the blankets on. Plus, you can’t use the compression feature while you’re in the critical first six weeks stage of scar healing so I highly recommend this machine instead, which is a fraction of the price of the rental. The ease of use was also amazing. It came with three Velcro straps that I could put anywhere that was suitable for my needs on the pad. For my hip, I used the largest universal pad and it was perfectly fine.

Durable Product with Great Results
Great product! This has been a lifesaver after knee replacement 3/25. We buy bags of ice every other day for it. It stays cold most of the day with regular use when we pack it. I’ve used it on every part of my leg. The different length wraps are nice too. HIGHLY recommend this product. It’s still going strong after weeks of regular daily use.

Great product and Excellent customer service!
First, I want to acknowledge that the customer service was fantastic! I reached out because I order the universal pad which came up in my search related to shoulder therapy and I believe was listed in the description and I figured, it would be great to use it other ways. Unfortunately, the universal strap wasn't a great fit on a shoulder so I reached out to discuss purchasing the shoulder strap separately or an exchange. They were very accommodating and my new strap was shipped out very quickly. Thank you again for that! The Product works well! The price the product is very reasonable and a great purchase. The padding straps aren't the most comfortable, but honestly, all I have to compare it to was a larger clinical cold therapy device that is in my physical therapy clinic and a likely very expensive!

Game changer, a must after shoulder or knee surgery.
This got me thru a nasty arm and shoulder surgery. An absolute must. I had no swelling and was off drugs in 4 days. I would recommend and say its the best recovery tool ever. Is now with my friend who just had a knee replacement.

You won't regret this purchase, promise!
This little machine is a lifesaver!! I am very pleased with its performance as I used it everyday and almost all day for 3 months straight! It even went with me to the doctors office in the truck (over 2hours each way)! I am mentioning this as I would sit in the front seat and this unit would sit in the back seat floor; the tube was long enough to run under my seat and the power cord worked in an outlet in that console! My only complaint is that it is hard to clean and to empty out completely for storage! I will be using it again in about 2 months so it will not be stored for long this time, but it will need to be stored for close to year after this next surgery. I am hoping that it survives long enough for my next knee surgery (next year). For reference, I went in for a knee replacement but had complications and hope to have that knee replaced in about 2 more months...then the other knee will be replaced next year, hopefully 🤞 The basin was smaller than expected and I could only, strategically, place 4-16.9oz frozen water bottles in there. If I used the lower flow rate settings and 20-30 min run times/rest times, I would only had to change out water bottles 3 times throughout the day total! I think if I had used ice, I would have had to add ice alllll day! The length of the tube was sometimes a bit too long for what I needed, however I can see how this would be beneficial for others. If I had slept in my bed, I definitely would have needed the longer length. I slept on the couch (we have powered recliners at the ends) and purchased a plastic 3-tiered cart with wheels to house this unit to keep it close. I highly recommend having a cart of some sort, A) it helps with the weight of the unit once filled with water and ice bottles, & B) it keeps it elevated and if water pools (which it does when changing out the ice bottles), it won't be on your nice furniture! Also I liked having it to store all of my meds and toiletries in one place while chair bound most of the day! Hey, and snacks too!! :) Overall, THIS IS AWESOME!!! I am hoping it will last for a long time! I would definitely purchase this one over the one that was offered from the hospital; price is better and convenient (and gets better reviews as that one is available on Amazon for less money than the company the hospital uses).

ACL RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY must read
I had ACL reconstruction surgery in 2021 and now for the second time again in November 2024. I wish I would have known what to expect the first go round because it was unexpectedly one of the most difficult few weeks of my life post-op. The pain, the discomfort, the lack of sleep, the immobility… I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. It’s rough. So you have to be prepared!!! Here ya go… I’m gonna tell it how it is now that I’ve gone through it for the second time. ACL reconstruction surgery is a B*%ch of a recovery. This is coming from an adult female athlete, fit, positive attitude…blah blah blah. It sucks no matter who you are. The pain of the recovery lasts several weeks. When they send you home from surgery, prescription controlled substance pain meds are given to you and for most part are absolutely necessary..for me that was an understatement. They are drilling 8-10mm tunnels in your femur and your tibia for crying out loud to attach the new ACL graft. Not to mention if you have BTB Autograft. You will get prescribed enough meds to get you through maybe two days post op. Then you practically have to beg for more and they treat you like an abuser. There is a decent chance once your pain meds are out, you’ll be a very unhappy human. PLAN FOR IT! I had a peripheral nerve block which did most of the work the first few days post op. My suggestion is be aware that after the nerve block wears off is when the real pain starts. If you don’t need your meds right away, plan for after the block wears off! Speaking of that, make sure you are using a surgeon that does a peripheral nerve block. Most do. I’m just being real..pain meds have become so taboo bc of the over prescribing and abuse. And now it’s so awkward after surgery when you want more because of the PAIN and are made to feel like a criminal. ***This machine will save your life*** Do not hesitate for a moment. We all saw there are dozens and dozens of these machines on Amazon and I too read through all the reviews. I have nothing to compare to, but this one works great. I don’t really know how you can be too picky on ice machines. It is easy to fill, clear instructions, long cord, doesn’t leak.. it does the job. I steered clear of the reviews that had multiple comments of leaking and chose this one. It’s the best $149 I’ve ever spent. No complaints at all whatsoever. I did not have this machine for my first surgery and it has made an insurmountable difference. Ice packs alone don’t even even compare. The design of this machine helps with your swelling in a way ice packs cannot. Plus, you are switching your ice packs out nonstop. Side note..Your physician may order a similar device with compression that wraps all that way around your knee/leg. You most likely will have to rent it for $375 for 30 days. I did opt for that device as well but still prefer this ice machine! It is much more soft and flexible to put on in the beginning when you’re very swollen and unable to fully flex your beat to all hell knee. I would also recommend purchasing an elevation pillow pictured in my review. Trust me on this one. It is the difference between sleep or no sleep. And your sleep will be crappy at that. There are many to choose from on Amazon. I also purchased some leg sleeves to wear once the ace bandage comes off to protect my skin while icing. Crutch pads are helpful if you have traditional crutches. Do your physical therapy! :) Disclaimer.. I realize everyone’s experience is different. Overall though I have many athlete friends who were just as miserable as I was. I’m sure some had it better than I did, some had it worse. If it was “easy” for you then i envy you! But you’re most likely lying😂 Nevertheless, incorporate this machine into your recovery. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

Great Customer Service Experience
I purchased this cold therapy unit just prior to my knee replacement surgery a month ago. I began using it the same day after I came home. It worked well at first but ultimately quit working. It was past the return window so I contacted the manufacturer through their email address. I was pleased to get a response within a few hours. They arranged for a replacement unit through Amazon which was delivered in two days. It’s working perfectly! I am very impressed by this company’s customer service! Would highly recommend.

Good ice machine for post surgery
I want to first say this is nothing like the medical grade iceless machine you get after surgery. I highly recommend renting that one first. Having said that, this machine is good quality for the money. I could only fit 2 12 ounce frozen bottles in it with the water, but it was cold enough. There is no compression-just cold to ice after surgery/injury. It's very easy to use and aids in pain relief.
