Clamps work well and hold tight. Case leaves much to me desired, I threw it away and put in toolbox drawer.indicator was used first day it came miking in a gearbox on a hay mower. Flawless. base holds tight.

This seems to work fine. not the most robust clamps in the world but is fine for my needs, the magnetic base works fine. I purchased it for traming my drill press table and will use it for trueing my table saw etc. and could use it for checking brake rotors etc.I might be judging a little harshly as I was a "Tool and Die Maker" and am used to using industrial quality measuring equipment. This is not that, but definitely will do a the job, especially for the price. I think it was a good deal and was not disappointed.It comes in a descent hard plastic case and should last a long time.

This product exceeded my expectations for quality and value for the money. It comes in a nice case too. The magnet is strong enough and all the pieces used for adjustment are great. No burs or misfitting parts at all. If you’re in a pinch and need something fast, this will do.

Magnetic base works well and so does the rest of the tool

I used this to check the runout on my rotors. I attached the magnet to my struts shaft and it held very well. The magnet is slightly v-shaped so you need to make sure you get it centered. When I turned the magnet switch to on, it stayed in place. I then adjusted the dial to contact the rotor and rotated it through 2 turns and validated the runout was within tolerance. No need for new rotors!

pretty poor build quality. the castings are very rough, the magnet it weak and the accuracy of the indicator is suspect. but you get what you pay for. if youre a professional this is not for you. if youre a semi serious hobbyist this is not for you. biggest strength is that it is cheap.
