I’ve been using the CFMOUR Retractable Dog Lead for a few days now, and it’s proven to be a solid, reliable leash for my medium-sized dog (around 18kg). The 5-meter range gives my dog plenty of freedom to explore on walks while still keeping him under control. The nylon tape is thick, sturdy, and doesn't tangle easily—much better than the thinner cord types I’ve used in the past. The one-button brake and lock system is intuitive and responsive, allowing me to quickly stop or lock the lead when needed. It feels safe and secure, even when my dog pulls suddenly. I also appreciate the ergonomic handle, which is comfortable to grip during long walks. As a bonus, the included training clicker is a nice touch. It’s lightweight and easy to use for reinforcing positive behaviors during walks and training sessions. Overall, this is a well-made and affordable retractable leash that delivers on both functionality and durability. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with a small or medium dog looking for a dependable extendable lead.

Very good quality length just right so I still have control

I’m not a big one for writing reviews, but after a year of heavy use this lead absolutely justifies one! I cannot fault this lead at all. I previously had a Flexi Lead for my 10kg Nenets Herding Laika. She sheds like nobody’s business (thick double coat) and after a few months of use it started jamming from the hair trapped in it. The tape opening was so narrow it was impossible to hoover it out. These little dogs have boundless energy and are bred to work all day, so they are strong! She pulls like a train at the start of her walks so I always get leads that can supposedly take double her weight. After 9 months the Flexi broke off at the reel crossing a road. I tried to buy another Flexi but they all had the new “360° Tape Guidance System” opening. I had one of those, a Flexi “Funtime” for my other dog (4kg yorkshire terrier cross) and it was anything but fun. He toddles along, doesn’t pull, but it still jammed every couple of minutes and had to be completely unwound to sort it out. The supposed “anti-jamming” system had the complete opposite effect; no way was I using one for my stronger dog. I don’t trust the cord leads, the point where the short bit of tape joins the cord is another potential weakness. I had a good look through all the available tape retractable leads on Amazon to find an affordable one with decent reviews and no silly tape opening. I settled on this one, and I’m so glad I did! I have used this lead multiple times a day for a year now, for everything from quick toilet breaks to seven mile hikes. Not once has it jammed. Not once has the lock failed. It shows no signs of fraying. The clip still works perfectly. It has been dropped, dragged, trod on, tangled in brambles, rubbed against rough surfaces, no damage. The only maintenance I have done is pulling it right out and hoovering the fluff out of it twice (easily done due to the size of the opening). I can see this lead easily lasting another two-to-three years, or more. After a few months trial of this one I ordered the 3m version for my little dog, and took great pleasure in binning his Flexi “Funtime” lead - the only fun I ever had with that god-awful thing! I cannot recommend these leads highly enough. As always, size up if your dog is strong. Apart from that, you have nothing to worry about :)

Purchased one of the leads from here 2.5 years ago, cannot fault it whatsoever, I love how quickly you can press the button the lock the lead and how it doesn’t get tangled or stuck when retracting, after this long the only wear on this lead was the rubber on the handle which started to peel from the plastic, I could of glued it but for the price and how long it lasted with 3-4 walks a day I thought we would get a new one, I am very impressed with this lead outstanding value for money cannot fault it :)

I am utterly disgusted at this product, it broke almost instantly my puppy who is currently training went running into the road and was two seconds away from being hit by an oncoming truck, I doubt anyone is going to respond to this but I would like to receive some sort of notification that someone has read this as I am not sure you understand how close my dog was to dying because your “retractable lead” basically got stuck and with how strong he is he went flying out my hand

I've rated this lead as a 3 overall because although it seems ok it's not got a partiocularly strong spring mechanism which means it's a bit slow to retract and this rather soft spring also gives the impression it will not last as long as some of the previous leads I've had. Apart from that, it's fine. It's a good length and the woven cord appears quite strong and durable. It's easy to lock and unlock and easy to carry even with my small hands.

Really good retractable lead. Easy to use , and strong. Good lead for my 20kg Bully cross.
