Women's Lightweight Hiking Pants with 5 Zippered Pockets

The Backstory: Once upon a time, I found the perfect pair of sweats (they were not these). This was 6 years ago. I bought 3 pairs of them when I realized how much I liked them because I knew someday, inevitably, I'd run out. Those sweats have been unavailable on amazon for approximately 5.5 years and I have never been able to find them again. I've checked intermittently, hoping that they'd be there again because once I find something I like, I stick to them and try to just keep buying the same thing as long as the quality remains the same. About 3 months ago after multiple holes started appearing in the crotch and the legs began to fray on all of them, I knew I'd have to find another pair of pants. The Search: I started passively searching around 3 months ago. I'm a med student so I don't have an abundance of time or money, so passive searching is me looking on amazon in the middle of a long shift or as I'm falling asleep in bed avoiding my responsibilities. These actually caught my eye pretty early on because I have two sets of legging shorts with pockets from Baleaf that I really like, and I thought that maybe these would be good too, but $37 was a little much for me to just spring on right away without proving to myself that I had no other options. Some other things caught my eye, but I kept coming back to these because they checked a lot of boxes for me (reviews talked about them as comfortable, they looked like they'd be light, they had adequate (and zipping!) pockets, reviews said they were soft, they had jogger bottoms so I wouldn't have the fraying ends problem again from stepping on them, and less importantly but still relevantly they had kind of the profile I was passively looking for). I decided to get a pair just to try it out, trusting that if I hated them or even if they didn't live up to my standards, I could just return them. The Verdict: I LOVE these pants. LOVE. I think it's too soon to say whether or not I love them as much as my old sweats, but they are already way up there and set to surpass the others if they last even half as long. They are light, deceptively stretchy material, quick drying, and have more than adequate pockets. They're extremely comfortable, look great, and fit well. I really appreciated reviews with pictures and sizes when I was making my decision, so here's mine: I'm 5'8 and what I would describe as a muscular 168lbs. At this size, I bought large to be safe, and I got the 25.5" legs, but I think I could have gotten a medium too and been fine and I just might still in the future since I've lost 20lbs in the last 2.5 months and plan to lose about 5-10 more in the next month. The legs are short, but I like that for running honestly (ran 5.5 miles in them this morning they were more comfortable than my normal shorts even, and not too hot at all). I'm definitely going to buy more (and already have). I also took them hiking yesterday with my dogs and they dried extremely quickly after my Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd tromped through the river and then immediately shook themselves off on me haha. I have no real cons to them, though I'll update if they break down quickly! Til then, I'll be ordering more and wearing them literally every day I can get away with it lol. Message for Baleaf: PLEASE don't take these off the market, I don't wanna go searching again for another perfect pair of pants LOL

Excellent quality of active pants, comfortable, great breathable and durable fabric (however I did not use during a hike or other outdoor activity), tons of "storage" with many pockets. I use as work pants in a healthcare setting and worked perfectly. Also sustained during an office move with multiple squats without tearing or ripping fabric. I wanted something similar to all my staple Athleta pants and these are a healthy hybrid of those. I'm 4'11" and 102Lbs. Smallest size in the petite length worked. I didn't omit a star for this, but I wasnt a fan of the wide waist band with drawstring but sure it would work for many others. It's not uncomfortable, it just "looked weird" on my already short torso when wearing fitted active tops tucked in. Pant will stay in rotation!

Super lightweight and comfortable! The material is breathable, stretchy, and flattering without feeling too tight. Perfect for going to work as a healthcare provider, hiking, errands, or everyday wear. Length was great, and I love that they dry quickly and have functional pockets. Definitely recommend! It’s true to size! I got a size small and I’m 140 lbs and 5’1. I recommend getting the 25 length in pants for the shorts girls!

Starting with the GREAT: They are extremely comfortable, stay up even when my phone and keys are in the pockets, and speaking of pockets they have lots of them that are actually full sized! The zippers are great as well and I'm confident they won't break easily. The NOT SO GREAT: The top band isn't as long as it appears in the product pictures. The pants are still "high waisted" but the elastic band is far shorter in real life, so it's not holding in my tummy fat as much as I'd like. Also, the ankle cuffs are very loose which isn't great for hiking as it would easily allow bugs and other critters to just climb up in there and bite your legs. This is easily fixed by just wearing longer socks and stuffing the pants into those, which you're supposed to do anyway for extra protection but still, I'd like to have that protection from the pants themselves. Regardless, they are great for the price. My boyfriend is hoping they have the same pants for men as well because of how much he likes them on me and I'm going to get more pairs in different colors. UPDATE: I took these pants on their first backpacking trip and they performed amazingly! The trip itself was a 12 mile total (6 miles to camp and back) 2 day 1 night trip in high elevation/high UV index. The trail had a ton of switchbacks and steep hills. By the time we got to camp these pants were super sweaty, but dried out overnight despite the weather dropping to about 41 degrees F. I didn't hang them up, just tossed them to the bottom of the tent in "I'm exhausted I can't find it in me to care" fashion. They retained their elasticity and I didn't have to tighten the drawings at all on either day of the trip (unlike some expensive hiking pants I own). I also take back what I said about the ankle cuffs being too loose. That actually helped a ton with air flow and being able to pull the cuffs up a bit if you're feeling too warm. At one point I actually fell very hard directly onto a sharp rock. My knee suffered more damage than the pants did. The pants walked away with a small tear I didn't even notice until I went to wash them upon getting home. My knee however had a massive cut on it. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the durability that these pants have! For the ultralighters out there, a size large weighs 11.5 oz. My only gripe is the elastic waist band being shorter than I expected from the picture, but hey, hiking ain't a fashion show so I'll look past it. I'm not only buying another pair of these exact hiking pants in another color, I'm buying the water resistant fleece pants from the same brand. Color me impressed all around!

Update: This is the 3rd pair i have bought! Love love them plus they were on sale for black friday/cyber monday. Comfortable,pockets great for using on vacation, so many great colors and the fit is perfect. I had these in my cart as saved for 12 months. Couldn't talk myself into ordering not knowing if they will fit or if the length would be all the way down to the floor. I have short legs and every pant is long unless its petite or short. I got these yesterday and tried them on immediately. I LOVE THEM! I chose the shortest length that supposed to come to about mid shin. Mine come to right at my ankle. Lol. The pockets all have zippers that work well and don't pooch out. They are so unbelievably comfortable. A soft feel. They look great on me and thats a great feat. I'm 5'2 and 205 lbs. I finally bought these because I am going on a 2 week cruise and I know I will have to do laundry so need them to be light and quick dry in case I have to wash them in the cabin sink. Why did I wait so long to buy these? Money well spent.

I love these! They're light, comfortable, stretchy, and I like that the pockets zip. I'm 5 ft 2, I got a small and the length is accurate. I hang dry them after washing as to not damage the fabric. They have gotten snagged on things with no rips, tears, or threads after because of the stretchiness. The zipper sometimes will catch the fabric when trying to close them. Best to hold the bottom of the outside of the pocket to zip up.

The pants fit well and are generally comfortable. I don't think they're worth the price (the material feels cheap), and they were clearly used/tried on when they arrived because they had glitter and makeup on them.

I LOVE THESE PANTS! I do a lot of hiking, and usually I am in shorts because I can never find pants I like. These are so soft and stretchy, they moved with me in every direction and there was no restricting parts. Took these on a 5 days hike on the West Coast Trail, and they held up perfectly. Through the mud, sand, branches, thistles, bouldering, slips & falls, sap. They took it all without even as much as a snag. The zippers seem very durable, and the pockets are a good size (held my phone with plenty of room to adjust it out of the way). I wore them in the sun & heat but also in the cloud and mist, they kept me protected from the sun and cool even in the +28C weather, and then dried very quick never feeling wet in the mist and water. The waist band is nice and high rise, with the tie below the stomach so to not dig in. I will say the band is a softer different material, and does take a little longer to dry, but honestly nothing I noticed for more then 15 minutes, and only got really sweaty right where my pack hip belt sat. I will definitely be getting these in all the colours, and I hope they come out with more colours!

I'm a painter and struggle to find a decent pair of work pants that are light, breathable, and look cute. (Most of my work pants are men's) These are definitely the ones! They are so stretchy for bending, climbing ladders, etc. and so soft, it hardly feels like you're wearing pants! I'll definitely be ordering more so I can live in these 24/7. Fit true to size, for reference I'm around 145 lbs, 5' 3" and a medium fit like a dream. Definitely high rise as advertised, sit just above the belly button.

These fit great, and are good quality except for a few little details. There was some puckering on one side on the sewing seam where the leg fabric attaches to the thigh fabric; not a huge deal but I noticed it right away and it bothered me a little. The thing that made me return these however was the crotch detail: there is a small strip down the front crotch, meant to look like a pair of pants that have a front zipper, however these are pull-on. This front crotch strip is slightly skewed to the side, off-centre, and looks bizarre in general. It draws unnecessary attention to the crotch and it just threw me off. I could tell that because the fabric is so light and stretchy, it would gather weirdly in the crotch while walking. Too bad, because the fabric is really nice, the pockets are awesome, and they're really comfortable. True to size; I ordered a large and my measurements are: waist - 30", hips - 42"

If you are hesitant about buying these, just buy them. I have a very active job and I’m sick of wearing jeans and leggings all of the time. These joggers are perfect. They are lightweight and breathable and have loads of pockets! The waistband lays flat against my body and isn’t bulky which I really like. I’m 145lb with an athletic build and these are really flattering. They hit right at ankle which is the length I like. I got a size medium in black and I just ordered the green. I hope the colours come in stock soon! Super comfy. Get them!
