October is a great months for ER's across the nation for stitching up cut fingers. This will prevent such an occurrence. Typically I use a razor sharp pocket knife. But I thought better of it this year. These are dull but easy to use. Much better results than a typical knife.

I have paid more than twice the price for this same quality of carving tools in the past. This is a really good set to start out with, especially if you aren't used to carving things, you'll feel more confident about not having accidents or getting hurt! The handles are made of strong plastic, and the metal toothed scraper works better than cheap plastic ones. Definitely recommend!

Very sturdy in comparison to the cheap ones you get from the grocery store! I intend for these to last more than one season! Used it for carving this year and looks like they’ll be around for next year! Used one light from this kit and it lasted a few days! Sharp, functional, easy to clean, will get the job done!

Good kit with all the tools you might need. Definitely quite sharp so would be careful especially if using with younger kids. Easy to cut out more complex shapes and designs with the tools than with a normal kitchen knife. More durable than some of the ones you find in a drugstore. The candles were a nice touch.

For what i paid for this set this is a very durable good quality carving set… GO CHIEFS!!!

Probably the best pumpkin carving set I ever owned. Not too expensive. PERFECT!

These felt good in your hands, easy to use, sharp but not dangerous if you are supervising kiddos. I had this big pumpkin carved scrapped and ready to go be for my four month old got sick of his high chair view of the event. I can easily imagine getting to do some cooler stuff when he is older and the ease of using this set vs the memories I have of carving my last pumpkin 30+ years ago - so much easier than the big carving knife and scraper spoon and those sad cheap plastic tools at the store - leave them behind unless you hate yourself.
