Plant Therapy Vetiver Essential Oil, 10 mL (1/3 oz), Pure & Undiluted

I purchased this vetiver essential oil to add to some homemade blends, and I was very happy with the quality. The scent is rich, earthy, and slightly smoky with the deep character that I expect from a good vetiver oil. It blends especially well with other oils and adds a nice depth to fragrances without overpowering them. A little goes a long way, so the small bottle lasts longer than you might think. If you enjoy warm, grounding scents, this is a great vetiver oil to keep on hand.

I love essential oils, and I love this particular Vetiver essential oil. It is becoming one of my favorite oils to smell. However, contrary to what I have read from other people's reviews, I do want to mention, that I feel that there is some similarity between the smell of Vetiver essential oil, and the smell of Patchouli essential oil. There is definitely a gap between the two, but it seems like they are both separate brothers from the same family, as it were. While Patchouli has a somewhat dark and smoky smell that reminds one of the shrubs in Myanmar, from which it originates, Vetiver has a subtle dark and smoky plant smell that seems to be combined with a subtle smell of cedar wood. This Vetiver essential oil by Plant Therapy is outstanding. If you are on the fence about buying it, and you like the smell of Patchouli, as I do, then I don't think that you will regret your decision to buy it, at all. The smell has a nice subtle smoke quality to it, but it is very subtle. I honestly think that this Vetiver essential oil, could be worn on a person's skin, by itself, in lieu of a men's cologne or women's perfume. It smells excellent by itself. I consider my to have a very sensitive olfactory sense of smell, and that is partly why I love essential oils. In this particular Vetiver oil, I also detect the subtle smell of cedar wood, and for that reason, it reminds me of one of my favorite men's colognes from the past, which was produced by Salvadore Feragamo... I believe it was the first cologne produced by that designer, and it had a lot of cedar notes in its scent profile. I have read online, that it is extremely common for manufacturers of cologne's and perfumes, to use Vetiver essential oil in their scent profiles of their products. That does not surprise me at all. As I stated above, this oil can probably act as a cologne or perfume replacement in itself, and I wouldn't be at all surprised, if Vetiver was used for that cologne by Salvadore Feragamo. Lastly, I want to mention, that I had absolutely no problem getting the drop of oil to come out of this bottle, so I would not worry about that at all. A lot of reviewers seemed to comment on how thick this oil is, but I actually find it to have a perfect viscocity; this oil's is not too thin, nor is it too thick. This is a great, oil. I strongly recommend it.

This essential oil is great,but I believe it has a light blend, a light but deep woodsy note fragrance. Vetiver is thick naturally so it usually is blended so that it can come out of the hole of the bottle easily. This oil is great for diffusion in aromatherapy humidifiers. It's great for relaxation, and emotional stress. I first add a drop of coconut oil,almond or light olive oil to protect my skin because it's sensitive and the oil when pure can irritate the skin,then I add the essential oil just a few drops in my hands, rub them together and cupping my hands around my nose, take five deep breaths in through my nose and out slowly and instantly I am relaxed and feeling stress-free. Please note for your safety that you should not ingest ANY essential oil because it does not dilute in water. Any aromatherapist with your best interest at heart and not dollar sign's in there eyes would🤑 say the same. These essential oils are Grade A. They work great by using the cupping method or diffusion. Do not be misled by people or companies saying they have so and so benefit when you ingest them. MANY essential oils are toxic or can cause internal injury when swallowed. (Yes even lemon) Many drinks infused with flavors use such a miniscule amount to flavor these beverages so a drop of essential oil could never be properly mixed per part.( also consider one drop of oil from one company's bottle of oil varies with another depending on the size of the hole the oil comes out of.) That is one reason why it isn't safe to ingest them because one drop of one bottle can be a double drop in amount compared to the other. Have fun with essential oils as they have great benefits but keep in mind they are powerful so "Happy Smelling" and please smell wisely.

This is probably a very "young" oil because the scent is not the warm resinous scent of vetiver that I love. It is a very mild, earthy scent that I'm hoping in time will deepen and change to the delicious vetiver I know and love.

This vetiver oil isn't as authentic, the consistency is almost like another EO, WATERY!!! That'snot good. Vetiver supposed to be thick. I ordered Vetiver for good night sleep and it worked wonderfully but I am thinking it'sbecause of the lavendar oil that I mixed in. I added 10 drops of lavender and 8 drops of Vetiver oil in 1.5 Oz of sesame seed oil, massage it every night in the bottom of my feet. And I slept well. I use the same oil for facial massage, 3 times a week and I wake up with amazing glowy skin! For facial, steam your face for 5 mins, wash with warm water, wipe, and take the oil mix (use your judgment) and apply to your face. Massage for 5 -10 mine with finger joints (?). I only gave 3 stars because I used half of the bottle and it did give my nose nice smell... and I am sure I am not entitled to get refund back since I used it. But I will not be buying this company's product.

Another pure essential oil from plant therapy. Liked the fragrance..very mild yet differentiable. A boon for hyperactive kid..my 5yr old son is ADHD+speech delay. Now his speech started but not upto full stream. So he can't mingle with other kids and play inside the house only. From last 6months he started beating us and it became routine play for him. I started to shout and beat him then also he is not stopping the routine. Then I started this oil and observed change in his behavior within a week and in one month he stopped beating us completely. Because he got habituated for that he is doing once a week. I wish I would have started this oil before he started beating us. This oil I'm using at night on his feet and I observed everyone in that room having deep sleep. ( Very good for insomnia and stress). His speech also improving faster than before as his eye contact and sitting tolerance increased. Consistency of oil is thick and I used to dilute with olive oil/coconut oil. 10ml bottle lasts longer unless we used for medical purpose. If you are buying essential oils for medical reasons then go for plant therapy brand because they are high quality, affordable and you will observe results very soon.

Love the smell.

This oil smells great - deep, earthy and mysterious. I had ordered a vetiver oil from another supplier two years ago which does not compare. This oil is very much alike Aura Cascia. Aura Cascia is very good as well but I find their oils a bit too pricey.

I bought this for someone else. Apparently it is very good for relaxation. Although I have not used it myself, I have heard that it is a good product.

Great quality. I use this for aromatherapy and a little goes a long way.
