I've had a few different types of these pouches, but this by far the best one. You definitely notice the difference when you first hold it, as it has a cushion that others don't. I thought it was to protect from drops, but it's actually to allow the phone to float while you're in the water. It doesn't seem like a big feature, but when you're in the water it definitely elevates the convenience factor, and peace of mind. One, it allows you to keep you eyes on the phone, and two, less risk of water getting into the pouch if it's floating (rather than submerged). The pouch fit my Samsung S22 and my wife's iPhone 14 perfectly fine. We were able to take many photos and videos during our recent trip to Aquatica in Orlando, and kept our phones dry. I'm very happy with the purchase and recommend for those that are in the market for a waterproof phone pouch.

I used the Pelican waterproof case to go snorkeling in the ocean and to go kayaking - both in the Florida summer heat. In the water, the waterproof pouch worked perfectly. No water leaked into the case and it floated with the phone inside. As other reviewers noted, underwater the touch screen doesn't work. i just programmed my phone camera to take a picture using the up volume button. That wasn't easy as the side of the case is padded and underwater it's hard to tell exactly where that little button is.I put my phone in the waterproof case while kayaking just in case I dropped it while trying to take pictures. It's hard to see the screen in sunlight to take pictures in the sunlight but I managed. I was also worried about quality of teh pictures through the plastic screen of the case, but that wasn't a problem either (see attached photo, taken with the case on). The problem comes with the summer sun shining on the plastic case. It heated up so much that my phone went into emergency mode b/c it overheated.So, while it's a good quality case and didn't leak underwater, the case can heat up quite a bit in sunlight and the touch screen is difficult (in sunlight) to impossible (in water) to use.

Protection: Kept our phones dry while sea kayaking. Didn't swim with it, but tested it under water using a paper towel and the towel stayed dry. The camera buttons worked well. Great value! Very portable and the capacity for the iphone was perfect. It was stiff enough to hold the iphone, but flexible enough to take it in and out of the pouch.

Been using the thing so much lately on my Efoil and Kayak. For the Efoil, i tuck it under my life jacket straps and when i take a dive at 20+ mph’s, my phone has never come up with any water in it throughout the day. This is a solid product! If i ever need another one I would 100% get this again. The only way i could see needing it again is if i lose it. It’s built solid AF so it’s going to last. Would recommend!

Used in Hawaii to record shore snorkeling go pro for deep dives and this worked great on not having to bring extra equipment to the beach to well record my findings while keeping myPhone on me and safe from both water and theft if I leave it on the beach. Floats well but doesn’t fight you if you do wanna dive and record with it included strap makes sure you don’t just lose it and can see it floating easily as it’s neon yellow strap. Doesn’t affect the clarity of the camera while recording under water an able to still use the screen outside of water with it on unlock via face scan etc. used it for several days in the ocean with no issues no leaking water inside phone was dry the entire time.

I spend time around pools and water. We are at the pool daily, and do things like kayaking and white water rafting during the summer months on occasion. I have tried many "waterproof" cases over the years but hate them because they take away a lot of phone functionality when you are not around water, and constantly removing and putting them back on is a hassle (plus you can't use a glass screen protector with them).Anyway, I've found pouches to be a better option. Waterproof my phone when I'm around water, but when I'm not, just use my phone with a regular case. I have tried all sorts of waterproof pouches, but this pelican one is my favorite.This Pelican pouch (regular size) fits my iPhone 17 pro perfectly (with a Rebel gen 7 case on it). So no removing the case to get it into the pouch. The pouch has a little bit of cushioning around the edge, both for protection and to help the case float if dropped in water. Like all waterproof pouches, some functionality of the phone is lost, especially if the phone gets wet, but with this pouch I can still easily activate the camera and respond to a quick text message.This pouch is perfect for outdoor activities and a really good solution if you spend some time around water but still want a functional phone when you're on dry land.I also really like the lanyard this case comes with.

I bought this to use with my iPhone 14. I have a slim fit silicon case on my phone but still had to remove it so that it would fit in the dry bag (too tight). That wouldn’t have been a deal breaker except the clear window wasn’t really large enough… the ends of the screen are not exposed. This made it difficult to swipe from corners or from the bottom (for example: swipe up to close an app and return to the Home Screen or quickly swipe down to launch the camera or see notifications. Success rate was 50% and made me feel like I’d need to take the phone out of the case more then I wanted to to use it which sorta defeats the purpose. That said, the touch screen responsiveness is great on the parts of the screen you can access, it was only a plastic window was cut a little bigger to make sure the entire screen fit nicely under it. I have a feeling the smaller iPhones would work better. The case overall felt well made and seemed to do a good job sealing. I like the floaty aspect too. However this was returned since it was still difficult to use the phone.

去年、アマゾンで安価なスマホケースを購入し、海でガンガン泳いで使いまくったが、とてもチャッちくてスマホに危険を感じたため、ペリカンブランドの底力とレヴューにある高評価を信じてこちらを買いなおした。大正解の大当たりだった。値段はそこそこしたが、割引とポイントが付いたので実質3000円。すごい丈夫だし去年買ったペラペラとは大違い。自分はマリンスポーツやシュノーケリングをガンガンハードにするので思い切ってこれくらいしっかりしたものをチョイスして大正解だった。何よりタフで、スマホがしっかりカヴァーされている安心感があるし海の中で写真を撮りたいので本当に買って良かった。が、自分のスマホとの相性があるようで自分のスマホだとホームボタンが3回に1回くらいしか反応してくれない。他の操作には一切問題がないのだが。これでは海の中で写真を撮りたい時にベストショットは間違いなく逃してしまうだろう。。(泣)だけど、これ以上良い「海で使えるスマホケース」は見つからなかったので今回の物が劣化してもまた買いたいから末長くこのお品を扱ってほしい。ペリカンロゴの素敵なストラップが付いてたが、シュノーケリング時にかさばるので他で愛用したいです。【海で実際使ってみた追記】やはり海の中ではスマホが一切反応せず、写真は撮れないのだが、ムービーにしてそのまま海へ入れば良いと知り、やってみたら、抜群に綺麗な映像が撮れた。心から大満足。今後も末永く愛用します。本当にこちらを買って良かった。

Purchased for wild swimming so I could monitor my distance accurately using my phone. Floats along happily next to tow float. Touch screen works well, even when wet and the camera function is nominal. Build quality is good as would expect from a branded product, the addition of the buoyant material mean your phone is kept at the surface and also protected from impacts. Fits a Galexy s24 in a case with room to spare. Can be a bit fiddly to open/close with cold hands.
