Surprisingly good reception.
I am surprised by how well this antenna works. I had very limited expectations due to the distance to the transmitter towers. I figured I would be returning the device. I mounted the antenna on an inside wall near the ceiling on the second floor of my home. I live on one of the rare hills in Central Florida abouit 210' above sea level. The closest group of transmitter towers are positioned on ground that is 70' ASL and 45 miles away. I'm getting a perfectly clear picture on a 75" TV. I'm really only interested in major networks but receive over 250 "channels." The included RV Halo app connected instantly and confirmed what I already knew about transmitter location. For the cost of 1-2 months of a streaming TV service, give it a try. The signal path from the transmitter to the antenna may be an issue, but I am very pleassed with the quality of the device itself.

Terrible Antenna
I bought this based on the glowing reviews to replace an Antennas Direct flat amplified antenna. I figured if it was as good or superior, I would use it as the primary antenna or as part of a dual antenna setup. I put is antenna in the same place as my Antennas Direct antenna and instead of picking up 22 channels (like the AD antenna) I ended up picking up only two channels. Yes, the amplifier was powered on. On top of that, the QR code on the amplifier would not scan to locate the app. I searched for the app in Apples Store and searched for Winegard and installed the Winegard TV Signal app. It was the only app I could find. That app didn’t do anything, literally. It did not connect via Bluetooth to the amplifier. When selecting the “Connected” app in the menu, the message received was that it is currently not available in your country or region. ???!! Did Amazon sell something meant to work in a different country or did Winegard box and distribute these antenna’s incorrectly?! I went through the troubleshooting steps with no resolution. I sent it back.

I’m impressed!
When I lived in the city, I had a large Winegard directional antenna on my roof and it worked okay but there were some ancient cinder cones standing between me and the broadcast towers thirty miles away and sometimes, during heavy rain, I’d lose my signal. Then I moved to the rural coast where there were no broadcast towers at all and I had to pay to stream ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. Now I’m back in the city but I can’t put up an outdoor antenna. I’m only one mile from where I lived before so the cinder cones are again between me and the towers, but this antenna pulls in everything my rooftop antenna did. It still struggles during heavy rain, but overall, it’s a great antenna. The signal meter and associated app are pretty useless in my opinion, but the antenna works well.

Decent antenna with an awful app
The first thing i noticed was the thinness of the antenna. Using the included command strips, it worked just fine placed behind my TV. It's basically invisible and pulls in all but the weakest signals. I have no complaints about signal reception. In contrast to the well thought out antenna hardware, the instructions included in the box encourage using an app to complete setup which is, in a word, awful. Save your sanity and just don't use it. Really. Most modern TV sets have automatic tuning and signal strength meters. Just use those instead. How awful is the app? Let us count the ways: 1) Inexplicably, the app requires signing up for an account with Winegard. For a TV antenna. Are you kidding me?! Make it an option for the exceedingly rare case of someone that doesn't want to just setup the one thing they bought so they can get on with their life, but don't make it mandatory. 2) After signing up, the app tries to find the antenna by WiFi, Bluetooth, or using the camera on your phone to scan the tiniest barcode on the antenna amplifier. No combination of turning things off and on, scanning by barcode, or locating by bluetooth (which it totally connected and found) would let setup continue. 3) The app kept displaying an error message that reads, "That QR Code has already been used in the registration process or has been deactivated." Like hell it has. I just bought the damn thing. 4) After this error appears, the app locks up and the only way to continue is to quit and restart the app. 5) The hamburger menu in the app has items for "Data Calculator", "Find a Dealer", and "Test Internet Speed". Who is their target audience for these features? It also has a "Manage Devices" item that you might _think_ would allow managing the aforementioned deactivated or previously registered device, but no. It simply reports "No Products Registered". To whoever wrote this app: Your code is bad and you should feel bad.

An update to my previous review
I bought this antenna because a less expensive amplified one would often not be able to receive my favorite channel. I live about 35 miles from many transmission towers including the one I had problems receiving. However the Winegard antenna could not reliably bring in the channel either. I Did find out that it could brng in the channel from another room, but not when mounted on a widow or a wall; only while lying flat. Thus it is only very slightly better than my older antenna. Also worth mentioning is that the instructions listed an app to download as the first step, but the app was not available. I looked at the manufacturers website and did not find an explanation; so I sent an email to their customer support. A day later I got a phone call saying there was a different app, which was available and worked to show signal strength. So I took off one star for performance, another for useless instructions and value.

Flat antenna for flat nothing signal
A piece of vent coax copper stuck into antenna connector on TV works better than this device. I've used the most powerful outdoor Winegargd antennas, and never an issue. This is for my grandmother's room in her assisted living facility. Doesn't pickup but a couple of channels. The app is clumsy to use also, and outdoor antennas are much more reliable. Going to return this for sure, and make my own antenna that is more directional and not a tortilla flat stuck to window or wall.

Great Antenna! Horrible App!
This antenna is great! I have a Roku TV with a couple of great apps but local channels have been a challenge. I’ve been using a name brand amped indoor antenna and only getting 2 of 5 bars at best. I found the sweet spot with this antenna and I’m getting 5 bars when it’s clear and 4 bars during overcast/stormy weather. Other reviews have discussed specific issues with the app so I’ll just say IT’S AWFUL! But!! I didn’t need it. I scotch taped the antenna to a wall and scanned channels. Then moved the antenna and checked my TV strength meter until I found a sweet spot. Once found, I used the provided adhesive to attach it to a wall. My town is 20 miles from the broadcast source for my area. I’m now viewing all local channels in perfect HD. I couldn’t be happier and I highly recommend this antenna!

Signal meter useless
This antenna functions on a basic level well. Reception was decent but the advertised signal meter and app dis not work at all. The app would not recognize the meter no matter what I did. I was still able to set up the antenna fine without it but feel that without that functionality this antenna is way over priced and didn’t function a whole lot better than the $20 one I had years ago. Also, command strips that were supposed to be included to mount it were missing. Be cause it functions just fine once I installed it and now don’t want to uninstall it and reinstall another, I am still keeping it but would not ever buy it again and feel a little cheated by the price.

buen equipo
