Pleasant tasting, easy to consume or swallow quickly, if needed. I find these more pleasant than gels and easy to pack your jersey. Used them as main energy source on a ride, or to just mix things up on a longer ride.

Misleading and Ineffective
The product looks nothing like the images—instead of small jelly chews with a liquid center, they’re large gummies with a white foamy base. Each pack contains 10 candies, but even if you eat all of them, you’re still getting less caffeine than a single cup of coffee. It’s mostly just sugar (36g per pack), not a real energy booster. Very misleading and not worth it!

Top für lange Trainingsläufe
Geschmack: ColaDie PowerBar PowerGel Shots habe ich während meiner langen Trainingsläufe gerne genutzt, da sie eine praktische Alternative zu klassischen Energie-Gels darstellen. Die kleinen Gel-Drops sind leicht zu dosieren und geben einen schnellen Energieschub, den ich auf längeren Strecken zu schätzen gelernt habe. Geschmacklich sind sie angenehm, und die Verträglichkeit war während dieser längeren, moderaten Läufe ebenfalls gut. Vorteil ist auch, dass man im Gegensatz zu Gels nicht unbedingt danach etwas trinken muss.Allerdings habe ich bei schnelleren Läufen, insbesondere in meiner Marathon-Pace, gemerkt, dass ich doch empfindlicher auf die Shots reagierte. Bei Wettkämpfen werde ich in Zukunft eher wieder zu den klassischen Gels greifen, da ich sie persönlich besser vertragen.Insgesamt sind die PowerGel Shots eine gute Option für lange und moderate Einheiten, bei denen man die Energie gut dosieren kann. Für Wettkämpfe und schnellere Abschnitte greife ich jedoch lieber auf herkömmliche Gels zurück, da ich diese besser vertrage.Fazit: Für längere, entspanntere Läufe sind sie für mich eine empfehlenswerte Alternative, bei intensiverer Belastung tendiere ich zu herkömmlichen Gels.
