It did what it should. The cap doesn't leak but has a vent hole that would leak if you didn't hang it - like you're supposed to. The valve handle is not normal because in-line is closed and crossed is open. No big deal.

So mine was shipped from India and took about 3 weeks to get to me. Upon opening the package, you're hit with a very strong plastic smell. Not sure if it's the hose or the tube. Either way, it's unpleasant. Based on other reviews complaining about leaking, I immediately removed the petcock and applied teflon thread sealant tape (just like you find at the plumbing section). The 'seal' that the product uses is a simple o-ring that is supposed to be squeezed between the bottle screw and the petcock screw. Unfortunately the nut in between is too large or the threads are too short and I can definitely see this thing leaking like crazy without additional sealer. Oh, and the bottle screw is a right hand screw (righty-tighty) and the petcock screw/nut is a left-hand screw (lefty-tighty). So before you strong arm this thing, spin it the other way first. After applying the thread sealant, I'm experiencing no leaks what so ever. Very happy with this product. Also worth noting that the petcock is closed/off at the 9oclock position and then open/on in the 12 and 6oclock positions. The petcock only rotates 180 degs.

The bottle leaks around the cap. It does not properly seal. The cap was cross-threaded when it arrived. The fuel hose is tiny, and incompatible with ANY motorcycle fuel line I've ever seen, without using some sort of barbed adapter, which was not provided, and which I must now try to find. Also, the petcock was frozen in the off position, and required pliers and effort to open it. As is, it is unusable.

This was exactly what I needed to do a dirt bike diagnosis with the tank off. Very easy to use, an inexpensive, and safer than rigging a bottle and hose myself.

The petcock is garbage. Sticks hard in position, leaks, handle is backward from normal, and has a bizarre thread setup that blocks replacing with a better valve. So this thing is okay for the price if you can live with no petcock and dripping. But the price is good.

I mean, it is a cheaply built but better that the one you can put together using fuel line and some bottle with drilled hole.... I bought it to test my 1978 motorcycle I'm working on as it's gas tank is rusty and I have no desire to clean it until I know the bike is running. Can see it be useful in other applications as well. Good thing to have in your garage

I'm restoring an old Ford 8N tractor. I used this mini fuel tank to check and set up the running condition of the tractor before I put the hood and gas tank back on. The off/on valve is a little counterintuitive but the markings are correct. Used it today for the first time. Worked great.

Used only with standard fuel, no Ethanol. Seals started leaking after first day. Petcock seal turned to gum and blocked channels stopping fuel flow. Leaks flowing over outside of fuel hose onto hot motor were a massive fire risk.
