My Maytag Bravos washer (model no. MVWX655DW1) would not agitate the clothes during the wash cycle. I easily installed this part and it fixed the problem. It’s great quality and seems like it will last a while.

Blue Star washer basket drive hub solved our problem of the washing machine not spinning. Perfect fit, easy installation, inexpensive repair. Push drive hub onto shaft as far at it goes, then tighten screws in an alternate pattern and the drum will tighten to the washer.

Seems to have corrected the problem. Tho, if and when it does happen again, I will be purchasing the metal one. I really can't believe these companies use plastic for that. It takes a ton of abuse. Also, it doesn't just slide right on. Ended up putting a few drops of 3n1 to help get it seated. The screws sent it the rest of the way. Just tighten them down like you're changing a tire

Difficult taking agitator off but when finally done adapter fit perfectly. Easy to install and fixed issue with washing machine. Recommend and will purchase again.

I got this for a free washer that my wife picked up. A little diagnosing and found this drive to be the problem. Easy to replace but you will need a long extension for a socket. I actually had my doubts about how long this would last, not because of the quality of the product, but because the metal splines that this slide onto were rusted out to about half of what they were new. I used a small o-ring pick to clean out the rust before replacing the drive plate. I would say this is a good quality replacement. It has washed many loads since I replaced it, and it's still holding up. If your splines on your washer are still good, I would expect this to last equal to original.

Hoping my review here can help others. Maytag MVWX655DW1 was leaving the clothes soaken wet after a cycle. Learned how to get into the Tech Troubleshooting mode and even after running all the tests nothing was being reported as a problem. So started off with the water pump. Pretty straight forward fix and easy to do. Also hooked up a wet/dry vac to all the hoses in hopes of sucking anything up. Nope that did not fix it. Next tried replacing the Actuator,, again relatively easy to do, but again. No fix. After lots of Youtube searching the only thing left was the agitator. This was a HUGE PAIN IN THE A$$ to remove. I mean HUGE!!! There is a bolt that has Loctite on it that I had to use an impact wrench to get off. Then the agitator was not coming off. Saw a youtube video where someone used shoelaces, or you can use some other cord that you an use a flathead screwdriver to push down around the edge of the agitator so you can slide it complete under so you can try and pull up on it. Again for me no luck this was NOT MOVING. Long story short, sprayed PBlaster into the hole where the screw was waited about 30min and then poured boiling hot water over the hole. Then using same cords pulled pretty hard and finally popped off. Finally was able to get to this piece to replace. You can see in the picture that all the teeth were stripped down. Removed it and then had to use a wire brush to remove some of he crud and installed the new piece. Put everything back together and its been a few wash loads and finally working again. You may need to add Loctite to bolt again. There are plenty of youtube videos out there on removing the agitator. I really suggest watching some, even if the do not match your model so you an get an idea what to do if yours will not come off. Also be ready to be grossed out at all the black sludge and junk you will find under the agitator.

Worked for about 6 months then failed. Can't expect too much more of plastic gears. Wish they had a metal gear replacement, but then no one would need to replace it and the companies wouldn't make money...so, yeah.

Perfect fit, I would recommend if you are going to replace it on your own buy the mini air bags to pop the agitator plate off. They made the job quick and easy

Fit perfectly, and seems as good as original. Replaced preventatively along with the failed bushing, which was replaced by the red repair bushing thats now available. Washers still running like new.
