Works but you must be handy
The pins that hold the top rack in place on our 5 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher snapped - first one side....and as I was figuring out what went wrong, the other side snapped. I found these replacement brackets after making the mistake of pricing OEM replacement parts for only one side of the rack. This set includes a pair - one for each side. It only makes sense to replace these in pairs, since removing them to replace only one would most likely cause the other side to break. After a few years of being subjected to heat and strong detergents, the plastic becomes brittle (why they're plastic is a whole other topic). These seemed to be made well and ultimately fixed the issue. But for those that plan on doing this themselves you should continue to read.... I have a very mechanical background and have written many similar reviews relating to "mechanical" stuff. That being said, this took me an hour to do. Not so much because it was difficult, but because there are no instructions and the video was not much help. I've always learned by doing, anyway. So before I dug in, I made sure I understood how the original brackets were installed before disassembling them. I took one bracket apart piece by piece and made sure I left the other one intact. By the way, even if instructions were provided, it would most likely be difficult to follow because there are multiple things that need to line-up while simultaneously holding other things in place. Like fixing many things, the best way is to just figure it out by looking and doing. You'll need to be patient, handy and just have a feel for how things work. After reading other reviews, I was expecting to have to shave parts of the bracket, but I can tell you that my pieces all fit without grinding or modifying anything. Also note that this set includes all the pieces needed to replace the brackets on each side of the top rack - BUT - you will need to use the original cover brackets for the square housings on the sides of the brackets. Time will tell if these last, but at this price I'd be ok even if I get half the time I did from the originals. I gave 5 stars because the product works, but will update it if it fails earlier than expected (I actually do update reviews when needed). Update: July 2026. Brackets are still working after a year and a half. NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are too brief and don't support their opinions with examples. Writing useful reviews helps pay it forward.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Saved Me a Service Call โ Easy DIY Fix
One of the top-shelf adjuster pieces broke on our KitchenAid dishwasher. Iโm fairly certain it was caused by one of my young kids โhelpingโ load itโbut instead of calling a technician, I decided to see if I could fix it myself. I found the model number inside the dishwasher, searched on Amazon, and double-checked that this part was compatible. It arrived the next day. After watching a short five-minute YouTube video, I was able to replace it myself. The old pieces took a bit of force to remove, but this kit includes a full set of replacement parts for both sides, which was great. The first side took a little longer because I paused the video a few times to make sure I was assembling everything correctly, but once I did one side, the second was easy. Everything clicked back into place perfectly. Total cost was about $22, and I easily saved at least $150 by not calling a dishwasher repair technician. Well worth it. One tip: do this when youโre aloneโtoddlers have a talent for stealing both new and old parts mid-repair. That said, donโt be intimidated and donโt pay someone else to do this for you. If I can do it, you can too. Highly recommend.

A perfect replacement at 1/3rd the price of OEM
Twice the parts for 1/3rd the price charged by KitchenAid. Fit my dishwasher perfectly. Time will tell how durable they are, but the OEM parts are trash, so I doubt this will be worse and at this price I don't mind replacing them quite so much

Lasted three years, which isn't bad...
Just ordered my 2nd one of these; it lasted a little over three years. Before THAT I have a non-"upgraded" one in my order history but it's not sold anymore so I can't tell if it's the same manufacturer -- but that one lasted 4.5 years. Anyway, there's a piece near the front that always breaks first -- maybe 1.5 - 2 years in for me -- that you can repair by just inserting your own screw and nut, but once the back part breaks and the back of the upper rack starts tilting backwards, it's time to order another one of these. Is it a hassle? Yes. Is it a shame the little clips that fit into the matching receptacles on the rail are made of breakable plastic and not metal? Yes. Is it better to buy one of these for $20 every few years than a new dishwasher for $1,000? Also yes.

Avoid
Avoid this product. Their poor quality control results in you needing to trim excess casting materials and nubs to make this item seat in the rail system. The security tabs are weaker than OEM and break during installation. The locking system is also not cast as well as OEM and creates a false lock. I did get it to work after an hour of working out the above details. I expect it to fail shortly and when it does I will purchase OEM on the next round of work. This item wasted way too much of my time for what should have been a fifteen minute repair. Be sure to save the OEM locking clips as well as theirs will not hold a securely as OEM clips.

Great value and easy to install
Easy to install ( with a youtube video) Looks like it is made with good quality resin.

Only lasted 6 months
Direct fit, not too hard to install. Only lasted about 6 months before a piece broke off that holds the top rack in the 'up position'

Perfect fit and good quality
One of the plastic brackets on my KitchenAid dishwasher model KDPE234GPS0 cracked, causing the top rack to sag. Unfortunately, my unit was just past its 5-year warranty. I bought this set of parts, and am very glad that I got this whole set instead of just the "Dishwasher Adjuster Positioner" bracket (sold by another vendor for $5). Once I started installing the part, I realized that several other pieces of the larger top rack adjustor assembly had cracked or fallen off, and in the end I replaced the whole thing. This product is very reasonably priced and seems to be of excellent quality, equivalent to KitchenAid/Whirlpool OEM parts for a fraction of the cost. It fit perfectly in my dishwasher. Highly recommended. Other reviewers here mention that you have to "be handy" install this. I found a youtube video titled "Whirlpool Dishwasher Top Rack Slider Replacement Set: Step by Step Install and Review" extremely helpful. Search for it. The only tool you'll need is a flathead screwdriver.
