How well does this do on frizzy hair?

Please clarify whether it is dual voltage or not?? I want to send it to someone in Asia where they have 220v, Can I??

I bought this item last May (2012) because it was listed as dual voltage. When it arrived the specifications on it said it was not dual voltage. I called Remington and they said this model was once made dual voltage but not any more. I told that to Amazon but apparently they have not updated their listing. So unless things have changed this model is not 220volt capable.

why does the flat iron has some kind of chemical smell when i turn it on? (it really bothers me coz none of my other flat irons have this smell)

This smell does go away with use overtime. This is typically something that occurs when the straightener is new.
