My granddaughter says this is what she wants to study in College I got this for her so she can have a solid grounding in the subject. It also is the textbook used for the free non credit on line course offered by Yale Open University. This should give her a solid head start when she takes the actual course. In college I took 5 related courses and found that they provided insight to everything I did from raising kids to dealing with management problems at work.

Big book, it's packed. Good so far. Bought it since the online free Yale Univ psychology course lecturer recommended it, so I bought the cheap earlier edition (same as used on the 2008 course, I figured that's good enough). Good intro book, so far.

This was the book that was used in my psychology course in college back in the 90s. Back then it was the second edition. I bought the 5th edition because a new one is way too expensive. The shipping was actually more than the book, which I like. The fifth edition is as excellent as I remember in college. If you can find a good used version of this, it's probably just as good as a brand new one.

When I received my book, I could not belive how well preserved it was. Not only that the package arrived much ahead the expected time, but the "used" is just like brand new. Thanks so much!

good book in good shape, fast shipping, but it is the 2nd edition and the add was for the 4th edition. that is dissapointing and decieving.
