I installed my CMOS on a Dell XPS-15 Model 9570. CONDUCT YOUR RESEARCH VIA GOOGLE SEARCH! Some very-explicit instructional monologues and YouTube videos, which I did access, for my removal and installation. You do know, you must-LITERALLY-disassemble the entire computer. AND YOU MUST HAVE ON HAND, FOR REASSEMBLY, 1) high-quality grease, to reattach the heat sink, to the CPU, and, 2) a good, safe solvent, as 91% isopropyl alcohol, to COMPLETELY remove the old grease, and, 3)some super-fine grit sandpaper or emory cloth, to remove old grease residue, AND POLISH THE HEAT SINK AND CPU CONTACT SURFACES, TO A MIRROR FINISH---NO JOKE! And it is only a grease, not a glue or adhesive, you will remove, and reapply. Male plug only inserts into female receptacle one way, as a security feature, to prevent reverse-polarity mistake. There is no physical reset "button" to actuate; you must reset the Real Time Clock (RTC) via settings---easy task for the RTC set. AGAIN, FIND YOUR MONOLOGUES AND VIDEOS.
