Cleaned my chain with this stuff and it worked great had no issues I may have used to much though cause I used most of the bottle on one chain and its not a small bottle but I had alot of built up gunk from a brand of chain lube I no longer will be using but it did great at restoring my chain! Would recommend!

A chain cleaner is most useful when it removes the old buildup without creating another residue problem, and Motul C1 is designed around that complete process. The aerosol formula targets grease, oil, sand, dirt, and road grime, then evaporates quickly so the chain is ready for fresh lubricant. It is listed as safe for O-ring, X-ring, and Z-ring chains, which is essential because harsh solvents can damage seals and compromise the lubrication trapped inside them. The directional nozzle gives better control than a broad household degreaser and makes it easier to concentrate the spray on the links. The 9.8-ounce can works for street bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, go-karts, and other chain-driven equipment. For a cleaner job, place cardboard under the chain and keep the spray away from the tire tread and brake surfaces. Heavy contamination may still benefit from a chain-safe brush, even though aggressive scrubbing is not normally needed. Most importantly, this is a cleaner, not a lubricant, so the chain should be relubricated after it dries. This is an excellent first step in a proper chain-maintenance routine.

Motul C1 has been my go to chain cleaner since the beginning, and it continues to deliver every time. It does an excellent job breaking down old chain lube, grime, and road buildup without being overly harsh. A few passes with a brush and the chain comes out looking fresh and ready for lubrication. I also appreciate that it sprays evenly and doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue, which makes routine maintenance quick and easy. It’s a product I consistently trust and keep coming back to. There was a small hiccup with my order where I was initially sent the off road chain lube instead of the C1 cleaner, but Amazon support handled it well and issued a refund. I eventually received the correct product, and once again it performed exactly as expected.

Works great! Use the chain lube by motul as well. The best to use. This brand cleans the grease right off. I will not use any other brand. Worth the money.

Works extremely well, even with double O ring chains. I also used the chain cleaner brushes with this product and was super impressed with the result.
