Great value - solid build
Liner lock model - this knife came somewhat sharp, hair scraping but not quite shaving out of the box. Detent is very strong making good flipper action, but nearly impossible for me to deploy by thumb studs. Lock up is rock solid, lots of room for the liner to move over time. The handle material is hard and has micro texture along with the wavy pattern, which makes the knife handle strong and secure in my grip, and intriguing to feel and hold. However, this causes a lot of traction as you put the knife into and out of your pocket. I have not carried this knife in my pocket very much because I fear it will wear my pocket out very quickly. If you want to carry this knife in a pocket I suggest you have VERY strong pocket material. I subtracted one star overall because I feel this knife will be hard for many people to carry daily due to the roughness/pocket issue. I sharpened the knife freehand on water stones (400/1000 grit) and got it very sharp! This blade is thick and full flat grind makes for a strong blade shape and it’s thick behind the edge, making this blade a little wedgy… I would say this blade geometry is more “strong” than “slicey” but it is adequate.Overall, I think this knife is an extremely good value!!UPDATE: I have had this knife for over a year, and I carried it for several months. I’ve used it a lot. The roughness of the handle texture has NOT been an issue at all. I love the feel of the handle and it is not been a problem on my pants pocket nor on sweats pocket/waistband. The knife is holding up well, it is still rock solid and has a lot more life left! This is an amazing value. I am now able to easily deploy this knife using the Thumbstud or the flipper.UPGRADING FROM 4 TO 5 STARS

Just OK
Decent beater knife. I use these at work, either at the golf course on on the docks.I bought 4 because I lose knives and I’m rough on them.(My high end knives are reserved for camping, hiking, etc.)Comes pretty sharp. The fit and finish, for the money, is good. The pocket clip steel is pretty weak, and bends easily if the knife gets hung up on something, like my seatbelt when getting out of my truck! ( this has happened twice)Once bent, you can forget about straightening it………it will simply break.Doesnt hold an edge very long, but sharpens quickly to a decent cutting edge.Overall, pretty good for the money, but when I buy my next batch of cheapies, I will likely try something else.

DURATECH Folding Pocket Knife
This is one of the best budget friendly knives I've ever seen. I bought the style with the wavy grips because I liked the overall blade and handle configuration. There are a lot of big name brand knives using 8CR13MOV blades with G10 handle scales and charging ridiculous prices for them, so in my opinion this is a really good knife for right around $15. The blade is not assisted but it flicks open like butter due in part to the brass washers it utilizes. The stonewash finish on the blade is really nice and I always prefer that on a good work knife as it reduces the scratch factor that you get with a polished blade. The handle on this particular model is ergonomic and very comfortable. It has a really nice deep carry pocket clip on it with good tension so it's not moving around when you are. The overall knife is a little bulkier and heavier than I prefer for an EDC knife, but nevertheless it's well built for whatever task you throw at it. I highly recommend this knife for anyone looking for a budget friendly unit or someone like me just trying out some cheaper, well built brands for everyday use.

Ok for the price
Nice blade, liked the grip texture. Pocket clip is bad, bends easily and constantly getting caught.

Great value!
Duratech are amazing knives for the price. They function perfectly and seem to actually be made of the materials they say they are! For $9.99 you just can't go wrong with this knife if you're in the market for a simple, reliable, EDC knife!

Solid budget EDC flipper
Like most everything about this Duratech folding knife. Size is great for EDC and I especially like the worked handle with the grooves that feels good in the hand. Blade length is great. Lock up is great. Blade is centered like a champ. Deep carry clip has the right tension and curve to go in and out of the pocket smoothly despite having raised screws in the pathway.I only marginally don't like the fact that the thumb studs are not really usable with the tension as is and the edge needs to be kept up.

Incredible!!
This pocket knife is an incredible buy. I paid a little more than $10 with tax, what a deal. The quality is superb, the blade is exactly in the middle of the frame. It came very sharp. The scales have a great look and and even better feel. The blade shape and flat full grind remind me of some of my Spyderco knives. It opens as smoothly as any knife I have and I have many more expensive knives. Once in a while I find a knife like this and can proudly use it and display it with my knives that cost a lot more. Do not hesitate, you should buy one of these knives. I may buy more for gifts, I have eight grandsons. It will make a great everyday carry, if you lose it, it didn’t cost a fortune. I purchased the knife and was not paid for this review.

Might be the best knife on Amazon under $10.99
This knife checks a lot of boxes for the money and might be the best “real” cheap knife, under $11, currently on Amazon. G10 scales?, yep. Deep carry pocket clip? Yes. Dual deployment ability? Yes, flipper and thumbstuds. Jimping? Yes. Bearings? Yes. Stonewash blade finish? Yes sir. Deployment is fast with no friction and good lockup. Blade drops nicely when the liner lock is released. 8CR13MOV blade steel is actually pretty decent in this price range. A lot of cheap knives use lesser 3CR or 5CR. The full flat grind blade has a nice belly for slicing and cutting. The ergos are good and I don’t feel any horrible hot spots. I do recommend adjusting this knife (and all knives) with a torx to dial in the pivot friction. My only gripe is the thumbstud deployment takes a bit of downward pressure on the tip of the stud to flip, since there’s not enough room to get your thumb on the side of the stud. Takes some practice but does the trick.I’m always looking for the best cheap real knife out there and this might be it.
