I paired this with the SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD (10gbps) Enclosure Adapter and it works great. Didn't need blazing fast speeds and wanted to minimize heat. I'm getting write speeds of 920.9MB/s and read of 561.5MB/s when I use USB-C to USB-C on my Mac mini, which is fast enough for me. When I use USB-C to USB-3 I get a little over 400MB/s for both read and write. The SSD does run pretty cool. I went with PNY because I've had PNY thumb drives that I've abused for many years and still work. Will update if there are any problems with this SSD. Would recommend! 4 1/2 stars

Easy upgrade for Macbook Air Early 2015
I had a 13 inch Macbook AIr Early 2015 model running macOS 12.5 with 8GB RAM and a paltry 128GB SSD. I purchased this PNY CS1030 500GB SSD, installed it into a SSK SHE-C325 NVMe USB C enclosure, attached it to the Mac, and used Carbon Copy Cloner 6 to perform a "Legacy Bootable Copy" to the drive. Then I opened up the Mac and swapped the SSD (using an Macbook-NVMe adapter for the new drive to get it to fit) and it worked like a charm. Came right up, saw the extra space etc. Sequential write speeds with the stock 128GB drive were ~300MBps write and ~1100MBps read. With the new drive they're ~1100MBps write and ~1300MBps read. I will say that if your Mac doesn't see the drive after installing it, double check that you seated it properly. Try to remove it and reseat it and really make sure you push it in firmly all the way. The SSD plus adapter is pretty long and when fully seated I couldn't tighten the retaining screw all the way down. But it was still snug and I was able to button up the machine without issue.

Compré esta unidad para sustituir la que vino con la PC Lenovo. Temía que no pudiera instalar Windows 11 por la licencia. Por suerte la licencia de la PC le funcionó sin problemas. Ahora tengo espacio para mis programas y archivos operacionales.
