Great Spokeshaves and Block Plane for the Money
I want to start off by saying that you will need to sharpen and hone all blades before use (unless used for very, very rough work), sand the bottoms of each piece flat and clear of the black coating, and file the mouths evenly. I also smoothed out the handles, where the coating had formed small bumps. Took me an hour or two to set up all 3 pieces, but this is to be expected with any plane or chisel. That said, the blades came very sharp and appear to be decent enough hardened steel. It is really nice they include the extra blades, too. If you're a beginner, don't forget to oil/lubricate every part after the initial setup. The spokeshaves work as expected, although I found the smaller one to work much smoother than the bulkier one surprisingly. I use them for making bows, handles, and paddles. They're nothing fancy, but they do the job.The block plane is cute and practical, but the design has a couple issues (still, it is well worth the price). The mouth opens straight vertically, which makes shavings sometimes bunch up. Luckily, the wood chisels cleanly with guide gouges, so it's easy to open it up 20-30 degrees. Second, the pin/wedge don't hold in very tightly, even when I got every surface sanded flush. I usually have to tap the front on my bench every 6 or so full width strokes to project the blade again. I had better results when I made and used a sugar maple wedge cut into a V, but it still slipped over time. Filed the pin down flat on the side that touched the wedge, and it held enough to take full shavings without retracting the blade. It would have worked well enough for basic chamfering or shooting without these changes, but I liked the way it looked too much to let it sit, and the cast iron body planes are not fun to use in the winter. Would definitely recommend these for beginners or frugal hobbyists!

It’s okay
I’m going to start off with why I’m glad I bought them - cheap and workable. The blades can an edge well and hold it once sharpened. The bad, in my case the smaller one required me to take it to a belt sander to smooth, had casting issues and was ragged where the blade extends out. I generally file/polish all new spokeshaves base to a mirror finish but actually requiring major casting removal was new. One blade for the larger came in completely miscut, looks like there was a kick making the blade and just got sent anyways. Luckily they send extra blade for each spokeshave. So in recap, cheap and no QC, but workable if you’re mechanically inclined.

Great Deal on Great Cutteres
The cutting iron is good steel. I probably tuned them somewhat-I don't remember. It's best to verify the back is flat and the edge is straight and sharp , of course. Check the lever cap where it sits on the blade for straight. The adjusting hardware is good quality, the shiny Brass screws actually hold and adjust. Once I dialed them in I got tremendous shavings with them. The bonus wooen plane is nice, too. The steel takes a fine strong edge. It was a very good price for three nice , productive planes and it came with extra blades! Crazy! The logo says Boeray Quality Tools and I will not contradict. Thank you Boeray I lovespokeshaving and your tools make it fun.

Poor Quality Control
Not a bad set of spokeshaves if you are capable of doing some adjusting, but as many have said the quality is not what most wood workers expect. These are not anywhere close to be Veritas, or some of the older brands of used equipment you will find for sale on the internet for the same or less money. I bought the set just to see how bad they really are, and the quality control is really poor. The adjustment screws were bent on both tools when I received them and needed to be straightened. Not a hard process, but I should not have had to make this type of adjustment. If done incorrectly and you break the adjustment screws, the tool is trash. As with any plane or cutting tool you need to remove the shipping oil and sharpen the blades. You will also need to remove the paint from the lower part of the plane body to keep from transferring black paint to lighter colored woods. In the end, the price is commiserate with the quality of the tool. Once sharpened and adjusted the spokeshaves did make some pretty decent shavings in soft maple.

Way better than expected
I was not expecting Lee Nielsen quality here and neither should you, but the blades came sharp, it worked and the little included block plane is shockingly easy to use and works well. I just used it to knock the corners off of some table legs and am incredibly happy with it. Check out Rex Kruger on YouTube for how to adjust these block based planes.Shockingly good for the price. Totally adequate, if not amazingly well finished.

Good spoke shaves (love that there are 2)
So far so good, cut myself with it on accident and it does take hairs quite nicely, and have been using it like crazy on a hammer handle for my metal fab class at school. For the price it's pretty damn good I'd imagine. The 4 star review is to be a bit more lenient since I've only had it s few days, but also because the little block plane sucks but it's also not what I bought it for since I already have a much large way more useful one.

Awesome tools
Now, for the price these are incredible. I would, and do highly recommend them. I have no need to spend way more money to do what these guys do.Now, if I were building top notch furniture I may change my opinion. Overall, these are amazing
