L’Oréal Paris Le Color One Step Toning Hair Gloss, Black Noir, 4 Ounce

I have very dark brown hair with about 20% grey. I use a black 28 day hair dye about every 4 months. This product really enhances my color, covers up the grey and gives my hair a shine. I only shampoo my hair about every five days and I use this product every 10 days. My hair looks a lot better with this product than after using the hair dye. Much shinier and softer! I figured out the best way to apply this without too much mess. My hair is just above the shoulders so that probably helps. I wash my hair and push the shower head down as far as I can so I can still stay in the shower and keep warm. I lean forward and towel dry my hair. Then apply the product. Don’t worry if your hands are covered in color, it washes off with soap and water. That’s why I like to stay in the shower and apply it. Once I’ve applied plenty of product, I rinse the stain off my body and hands. Get out of the shower and wait the 15 minutes before rinsing out. I think I get about 3 1/2 uses for tube. it’s well worth it.

This is a great product, please keep it in stock. Semi permanent ammonia containing hair color damaged my fine hair. The hair is growing out better but the ends look dead and cannot hold any color. I am using this gloss treatment to cover up two toned look. In black it is doing an amazing job covering the brass while not causing any further damage. My hair feels soft with more bounce and volume between uses and it doesn't feel any worse before this product needs to be reapplied. I wish it was available years ago.

So I had reached an age where I had to decide if I wanted healthy hair or colored hair. I opted to see what I was working with, which turned out to be my still crappy color brown and scattered gray. Meh. But, after all the time and trouble I took to get everything grown out, I wasn't willing to start with all the coloring process again. I really stumbled upon this and tried the silver gloss and it helped with the shine, but I probably didn't have enough gray. THEN I found the black. Knowing it wouldn't go full black, I gave it a shot and it was perfect. Took the boring brown and deepened it. I wash my hair, smear it on...and since my hair us short it doesn't take much... and go do something for 15 minutes or so...rinse it out in the sink and good to go. I don't use gloves, and soap and a cloth gets it off MY skin. I'm not an idiot, so I don't get it on clothes and rugs...which I imagine "might" stain. But it doesn't stain the cloth so... In any case, it lasts pretty good through 1 or 2 washes. Considering i get probably 5 treatments out of one tube compared to the price of a salon color, its super cheap. And because it eventually fades, I don't have to worry about roots. And if you don't want to look like you are "coloring" again, this is perfect. Subtle yes. But way, way better. Feel like myself again.

I have used several gloss products including clear ones and colored ones. They didn't really give my hair that much shine and made my hair coarse. But when I was applying this one, I felt my hair was pretty smooth already. After I rinsed it, I used hair mask. I know I probably shouldn't use it right after glossing as I need to rinse my hair again, but I did it anyway. After I dried my hair, I was so amazed how shiny and smooth my hair became. My hair is literally sparkling under the light. I haven't seen this shine on my hair since I was a little child. And it feels so incredibly silky. I can't stop touching my hair. I'm so happy to find this product, I will definitely buy it again.

I have dark brown hair that may have some residual demi-perm (ash brown) dye in it from last year, but it's looking more like my natural color so I'm not entirely sure. Anywho, lately I noticed a little bit of brass/red tones coming through when standing in bright lighting. I bought the black hoping it would add some ash tone to my brown hair and get rid of the brass. It did help a little bit, but I think I may need to do a second treatment to completely tone out. Perhaps leaving it in for a little longer than 15 minutes will help. Aside from the toning aspect, this product is very hydrating and did give my hair a subtle shine. It works more as a conditioning mask more than it does a color deposit/toner. It left my hair super soft but it didn't do much else. That being said, I don't think I will purchase again.

I was really looking forward to trying a glossing treatment, in order to add additional shine and richness to my color. I'm homebound, so I loved the idea of being able to do such a treatment at home, and at such a reasonable price. To say that I'm sorry I did would be a massive understatement. I color my hair a black shade similar to the model's color on the box, but once my hair dried, there was no difference, in terms of shine, or depth and richness of the color. It also drips and stains like crazy if your hair gets the slightest bit wet (I found this out the first time I washed my face after using it, and accidentally got the hair along my temples wet). Even worse, it dried out my hair terribly, leaving it a frizzy mess. My hair was in great condition before; it's been two weeks since I used this stuff, and I've been dousing my hair in deep conditioning treatments ever since, in the hopes of nursing it back to health. Avoid this stuff at all costs!!

This is a great product when your brown hair turns brassy. It fixed the tones in one wash and was easy to use.

I use the black or dark brown shade to tone my naturally dark brown hair. I love that it gives me a lot of shine and covers up some of the reddish tones I get towards the ends of my hair. I think black is my favorite because it’s pretty cool toned. Even though the difference in color is small, friends notice the change and compliment my hair, and ask me what I’ve done. I always recommend this product to them! I get about 3 uses per bottle, and I leave the product on longer than what’s recommended. The color lasts about two-three weeks for me.

Really adds a lot of colour. Great for a refresh of colour in between dye jobs. My hair becomes soft and managable also.

I’ve used the black gloss twice now and it’s excellent. It makes my dark brown hair look super rich in colour and surprisingly it hides my greys. My hair is naturally curly and when I blowout my hair after using this, I have zero frizz. Best product ever!

I have dark brown hair and I find the black really gives my hair a boost, and helps blend random grays. I use it once every ten days or so and find if you stay on a routine it gets better with time. My hair is long and I get about 4-5 uses out of it. I’ve also used dphue on and off, both are great products but this wins hands down on cost.

First of all, the product isn't enough for 3 applications considering my hair length (touches my waist) and the color coverage wasn't great at all eventhough my hair color is dark brown! Highly disappointed!
