I had the same make of cup years ago, but the lid got broken. This one is a better shape and the lock button seems more sturdy. I also like the dip down to the outlet hole, so any excess fluid flows straight back. They've definitely improved on the last one I had. I'm thinking of buying another one as a spare. Oh, and no leakage at all. I had it bouncing around in my back pack for a few hours today. Perfect and stull hot/ warm enough to drink my tea.

Very impressed with this. Doesn’t leak and keeps drinks hot for a very long time. Have had to work out when to make drink and when I can eventually drink it because it stays hot for so long.

Having previously owned another contigo mug that lasted me 3 years it was a no Brainer to stick to the brand. Being a builder the mug had its fair share of drops but lasted well, kept the drink hot for a few hours until one day the rubber seal of the lid deteriorated and it was time to buy a new one. I loved the design of the new mug, I chose the blue colour. I’ve owned it for 3 months now and it’s pretty good. there are no spills from the lid, I like the the function of pressing the button to open it to take your drink. I find it better for short journeys as the drink cools enough to drink from. Previous mug would be too hot to drink, still after an hour. What’s not to like about the mug is it doesn’t stay hot for long. At 2 hours from making your hot drink it’s lukewarm. A little disappointing considering the price. I like having a brew as you do, having a sip of a hot drink while I work, especially While working outside in the cold, the old mug was brilliant for this. Pros Stylish design with no spills. This is genuine review. I have never accepted any of the bribes offered by retailers for a favourable review. Edit:- another two years down the line. Used twice weekly and through the dishwasher each time. The retreat of the blue paint has been like a receding glacier. Now down to the last couple of square centimetres. However, the cup is still entirely functional and leak proof. I care not about the aesthetics of this cup as it really works well, but I stand by my original advice to buy the stainless steel one. ****** Best product of its kind, and I've tried loads. You have to get used to the click to sip action, which needs a specific grip on the cup to get a finger on the button, but this is no big deal and the benefit is a really spill proof cup in the car, or wherever. Insulates really well. I got the blue lacquered one and the paint very quickly started chipping off the top where the lid screws on due to washing in the dishwasher. I'd recommend getting the stainless steel one to avoid this. Five stars for its effectiveness, despite the paint not being dishwasher proof.

I bought this thinking that it would be a 16oz size, akin to my usual Contigo flasks but the capacity is actually 12oz. I don't mind though as it's lighter to carry. The stainless steel lid/sipping area is really great if you're a lipstick wearer - the plastic ones retain the waxy reside, however hard one scrubs with a brush and washing up liquid.

the ad claims 'drinks stay hot up to 5 hours'. Nope, they don't. Unless they are using the word hot to mean anything over room temp? I like my coffee hot. My last cup (from Clas Olsen) kept coffee lip burning hot for a couple of hours. The contigo? Maybe up to an hour Hot, on a good day. The following hour warm enough to drink but not great, then after that tepid, and those are times with it used indoors in a relatively warm environment. Outside would expect considerable worse performance. You know almost immediately you use the cup that it is not going to fare well at keeping the heat in as the metal top gets hot in the time it takes to walk to another room after making a coffee in it. That much heat on the outside of the cup being cooled by the outside temps makes for a bad performing thermal cup. All that said, The fact it is spill proof saves this cup for me and keeps it in use. Knowing the drink will not stay hot for too long, while disappointing, it is still better than the tuts and angry voices of my partner when I knock a 'non spill proof' cup over on the carpet. Ease of use is great. Press the button to drink, release and it seals. you cannot really get better than that in functionality terms. I cannot fault the spill proof aspect, it is really very good at keeping liquid in. So while it's thermal properties are not great, it's angry woman deflection capabilities are second to none. The pressure relief (air intake) points away from your face (making a quick pish noise when you press the button) faces away from you, so no hot drops of steamy coffee in your face (in the first half of the hour at least). The hole for the drinking out of is quite deep. That isn't the best thing as it means when you tip it you need it enough to kind of overcome the depth to drink it. It is hard to explain, but it is a little counter intuitive and makes this a cup you need to get used to rather than an instant 'yeah baby, this is the cup to have'. The button lock is a welcome addition to the mix. It is very firm. You 'could' throw this cup in a bag with the button locked (if you are the kind of person who may want or need to do that) and be pretty confident it is not going to lose any liquid. So to sum up. It isn't the best cup to drink from. It doesn't keep coffee hot for anywhere near long enough. You can knock it over knowing you won't be getting a sulky or stroppy lecture (unlike the one I will likely get for actually writing that). If the need for keeping temps high is your reason for looking at this cup, look elsewhere, if you want an easy to use spill proof cup that will keep a drink at a decent heat level for an hour? then this could be it. Also worth noting, for some reason, the pale blue cup (they call it cornflower, and I had to go look for that info, but being a guy, it's pale blue, it's a man rule) was a few UK pounds cheaper than the other colours, so if colour doesn't matter to you then check the prices on all of them before buying.

The good quality is nothing if I can fitted on the side cup holster on Vauxhall Vivaro. The longgateted bottom has to be a must have.

This was an impulse purchase. It’s not cheap but It does look great and keeps tea or coffee hot. It took some used to getting use to using the drink lock and buttons. Overall it’s a good purchase. Keeps drinks hot: Keeps my coffee hot for up to 4 hours and warm up to 6 after that your hot drink will cool significantly.

Love these mugs but they are very expensive. I bought some in Costco years ago at half the price. They wash well in the dishwasher but they do loose the colour layer after a couple of years of dishwasher use; the stainless steel underneath the colour layer is also nice and smooth; they are quite durable. They keep my tea hot for a couple of hours and they fit in most cup holders quite well. They hold about 1.5 cup. I have never used them for cold liquids, just tea. Once my husband used one for his coffee and I could smell the coffee later on. Smell went away after a couple of washes.

Ho acquistato questa tazza perchè da un pò di tempo bevo solo caffè americano e non sempre, quando sono fuori, trovo bar che lo offrano, oppure la qualità non è quella che mi aspetto. Premetto che è la mia prima tazza da viaggio per cui non posso fare paragoni per cui recensirò solo basandomi sul mio acquisto. La tazza mi ha attirata perchè insolita rispetto alle altre in commercio. In particolare la forma è armonica a mio avviso e il tappo segue bene la linea della tazza stessa. Quest'ultimo è di plastica dura nera e ha un pulsante che riporta un lucchetto e che ci fa capire quando è bloccato il meccanismo che fa fuoriuscire il liquido. Questo tasto non mi sembra solidissimo ma mi riservo di dirlo dopo averla usata per molte volte, ora sono solo a un mese di utilizzo ed è un pò duro, ma funziona a dovere. Dopo aver sbloccato, per bere, è necessario premere sul tasto autoseal, e una volta inclinata la tazza, il liquido fuoriesce. Attenzione alla temperatura del liquido, poichè se lo avvicinate alla bocca, non è indicata da nessuna parte e rischiate di ustionarvi. Una volta lasciato il tasto autoseal il liquido non fuoriesce, ma per bloccare la sicura è necessario ripremere il pulsante lucchetto disegnato. Ho provato a capovolgere la tazza e non è fuoriuscita una goccia. Il colore che ho scelto mi piace molto e non ha ancora perso da nessuna parte. Sono soddisfatta del mio acquisto e anche se il prezzo è piuttosto alto, rispetto ad altri modelli che ho visto qui su Amazon, sono contenta di averla acquistata.
