Self-Adjusting Comfort: Nexbelt Titan BD PreciseFit Ratchet Belt Review
TLDR; Unmatched comfort and perfect fit with 1/4 inch micro-adjustments. Excellent rigidity and durability prevent sagging for everyday carry. Discrete style that looks clean and professional. My initial thought when buying the Nexbelt Titan BD PreciseFit Ratchet Belt was simple: I needed a durable, clean-looking everyday belt that wouldn't fray or lose its shape like traditional leather belts. The micro-adjustability seemed like a massive upgrade from being perpetually stuck between two holes. I bought it primarily for daily, non-carry use, and its sleek design and reputation for strength made it the perfect candidate. The main selling point, the PreciseFit ratcheting system, has completely changed how I think about belts. The ability to make micro-adjustments in 1/4 inch increments is a game-changer for comfort, especially throughout the day. After a big meal or when sitting for a long period, a simple, discreet click of the release lever and a slight pull to loosen is all it takes. Then, standing back up, a quick slide to tighten it back up is seamless. This level of customization ensures a perfect fit every time, which a standard hole-and-pin belt simply cannot achieve. The belt's construction, which often features a reinforced core (like polymer or high-density fibers) in its EDC/Tactical line, provides impressive rigidity. For general everyday wear, this rigidity means the belt won't roll over, stretch, or sag, keeping my pants and any light EDC items (like a multi-tool or phone holster) securely in place while maintaining a neat, sharp appearance. How it is made for Concealed Carry (CCW): Although I do not use it for concealed carry, the features that make this an excellent EDC belt are what make it a top-tier CCW belt: Rigidity and Support: The belt is significantly stiffer and more robust than typical fashion belts due to the reinforced construction (often polymer or microfiber cores). This stiffness is crucial for a CCW setup as it prevents the belt from sagging, rolling, or tipping under the weight of a holstered firearm, ensuring the weapon remains stable for safety and a consistent draw. Micro-Adjustability (1/4 inch): The PreciseFit ratchet system allows carriers to adjust the belt to the exact necessary tightness. This is vital when wearing an Inside the Waistband (IWB) holster, as the extra bulk of the firearm and holster requires a slightly larger circumference. Carriers can quickly and subtly tighten or loosen the belt on the fly to accommodate the holster, or for comfort when sitting or standing, without having to mess with widely-spaced holes. Durability: The materials, such as high-density nylon or premium reinforced leather, and the heavy-duty buckle with secure set screws, are designed to withstand the stress and frequent use that comes with carrying a weapon and other tactical gear. Low Profile/Discreet Look: Many of the EDC models are designed to look like a standard, stylish belt, avoiding the "tacti-cool" appearance. This discretion is important for concealed carry. Pros and Cons Pros PreciseFit Ratcheting System (1/4 inch increments) for perfect fit. Exceptional Rigidity prevents sagging, rolling, and stretching. High-Quality, Durable Materials for long-term use. Quick and Discreet adjustment/release. Cons Buckle can be slightly bulky on some models. Higher cost than a standard fashion belt. Requires an initial trim-to-size setup. Verdict The Nexbelt Titan BD PreciseFit Ratchet Belt is absolutely worth the price, not just as a gun belt, but as a superior everyday belt. The comfort and convenience afforded by the micro-adjustments and the belt's impressive rigidity are standout features. This belt is best for anyone who values all-day comfort, needs a belt that won't sag or stretch, or simply wants a clean, durable, and highly-adjustable option for daily wear. It's a fantastic foundation for any EDC setup, whether you're carrying a firearm or just your keys and phone. I will never go back to a traditional hole-and-pin belt.

Time will tell
So I have only had this belt for about a week and I will admit it was better than I expected right out of the box. So I am a huge fan of Kore Essentials belts which I have been wearing my current one for about 5 years now. My brother love these Next belts, but when I compared them physicaly side by side I always found the kore belt to be a little more sturdy. However I do like the Next belt buckles a bit better. Sadly my kore belt (despite still working perfectly) is showing its age. It stared to fray and the finish on the buckle is wearing off. So I started shopping around and someone told me that this particular Next belt has a similar core as the kore essential belts and was pretty solid. After looking at it I also like the idea of the push button buckle so I ordered one. Now right out of the box it has been everything promised, a very rigid belt great for carrying. When I cut it down to size per the instructions (same as kore essential belts) I could see the solid core. I'm not sure what the material is, but it's very similar to what I found when sizing my kore belt. The only thing I'm really still on the fence about is the buckle. It seems well made and works great right now, but I have seen all the reviews of them breaking. Also it feels much nicer then the lever action buckles so I don't know why their aren't more like it, unless it's a gimmick and they know they don't last or maybe they become less reliable as they wear out. I hope I'm wrong because it really is a much better feel when adjusting. I guess time will tell. I love my Kore essentials belt and so far I'm loving this particular Next belt. 5 stars as long as it keep things up, lol.

Great belt, better feel than the other - wished it lasted longer
I updated this a few times - read until the end: I like the ratcheting belts as it can tighten incrementally. I have a number of ratcheting belts from another company but wanted to try out the Nexbelt based on internet comments. Pros: Buckle size is a plus - 1.5" wide on the front and back, so arguably will work well for appendix carry. The quality of the outer material of the belt is nicer and feels more EDC than the mil-spec nylon-feel of other companies belts. Black and red ratcheting is a lovely color combo as well, albeit you don't see the red portion. The "click" sounds more mechanical like a watch-part than a iron-factory cog. Belt is sized up to 50", but you need about 4" for carrying a firearm so this will fit up to 46"-ish waists if you carry. Cons: The rigidity is less than the other well known ratcheting belt brand, though it is better than other Amazon choices. In comparison, I feel like I have to cinch this belt uncomfortably tighter at first, otherwise it slips by the end of the day. No belt loop for the excess. For the average EDC carrier, this isn't an issue as your size is consistent. However for conceal carry carriers the belt could flex in dimension throughout the day for on/off, so if your leftovers doesn't align with your pants belt loops, this excess could be annoying. Fortunately the other well known brand sells simple velcro belt loops if you need it (I have extras from mine). Price: I paid $69 a week ago, currently on Amazon $79, on their website direct $59 (likely plus tax and shipping). It's not any less expensive than the alternative - it is on par. Overall I would choose this if I need to carry appendix (I carry 3:00) or want an EDC belt with a more fashionable look. It otherwise is functioning like the other ratcheting brand and the decision to go with company would be arbitrary, not because the belt is better than the alternative. Edit: after over six months of use, I would say this belt is fantastic. Skip the other Nexbelt models and the other brands - this one is comfortable, and the buckle is the ideal size, albeit a little thick. I have had no issues and the slipping must have been user error as I don't run into issues since. The rigidity is still less than the other major brand, but it still works solid. My other brand sits in a drawer and hasn't resurfaced since. If this belt wore out, I would just buy another and not even bother pulling the other brand out of the drawer...that's how much I like this belt now. Already picked up the tan one as a back up. Edit2: May 30th 2022, almost 1year 2months to the day I bought it, the button snapped off and fortunately I was in my walk-in closet when it happened, and not out and about. Without that button, you cannot take off the belt. But if you insert the part, you could take it off. Fortunately I have the tan one and Amazon Prime has these in a day turn around. The black one was my daily belt for 99% of that year and 2 months and got a lot use. Unfortunately parts are only warranties for a year. I'm going to see if NexBelt will fix the buckle. Edit 3: Regarding Nexbelt issue in 2022, I did reach out to them and they did send me a new buckle which is why I have continued to stay with them. Edit 4: Oct 2024, I have a few of these belts now and I stopped using the other brand because this buckle is extremely comfortable. I tend to wear them out after a year or two, which isn't band, but compared to traditional leather belts this may be sub par to you. I recently took the belt form the other brand and tried it out so it appears the belt itself is compatible, which is a bonus as NexBelt does not offer this Supreme Carry version is any other colors besides tan and black, and the other brand sells the belt itself separately. One thing to note is when I disassembled the older belt, I noticed that the screws have a set-screw tip, but at some point I got an actual set screw with a spike tip (probably with the replacement). This would be better for the setup as the set screws just pin the belt, whereas the spike pierces through it and would retain it much better. I'm not sure if the newer belts come this way, but they should.

Nice belt
Very nice belt, i liked the ratcheting system on backside of belt. It brings a lil class to your look or robustness when needed. One size customized to fit all.

Great belt for AIWB carry
TLDR: this is my favorite carry belt I've tried so far. It's adequately rigid, but still comfortable. The ratcheting feature is a must have and works great. I was not very impressed with the screws provided though - as careful as I tried to be, it still started to strip the screws almost immediately (even when using the provided Allen wrench). Thankfully I was able to get the screws tightened enough before they completely stripped out. Besides the screws, it's great quality. My longer review: I've used Kore, Blue Alpha, and Groove Life belts - so that is what I'll compare this to here. For context, of those other options, I prefer Kore. I've worn a Kore belt everyday all day for a couple years. It's held up well, is adequately rigid, and is pretty comfortable. The groove life belt is not rigid enough, so I found you need to tighten it a lot to have it work as well Kore. The groove life belt has a lot of stretch, which makes it comfortable, but it will loosen throughout the day if you have it pretty tight. I like Blue Alpha better than Kore in a couple ways, but the fact that it isn't a ratcheting belt means I don't wear it hardly at all. Being able to tighten/loosen the belt quickly/without taking it off is a must have feature in my opinion. A good carry belt should be stiff, but if it's too stiff, some comfort is sacrificed. I think this is in the Goldilocks zone for stiffness. For reference I carry a compact with a light and optic on it, and this still has plenty of support. The smaller belt buckle is great for appendix carry. I originally ordered the original model, but returned it due to the buckle size and I'm glad I did. Overall I'd highly recommend this, but Nexbelt should really send screws that are a little higher quality so that aren't immediately stripped out.. either that or an Allen wrench that is a more exact fit - ideally both.

Best carry belt so far
The belt is good and rigid for holding whatever weight you might need to stay in place and the buckle is extremely convenient. I have some concern over the teeth on the belt losing enough edge to be ineffective, but after several uses I don't see any signs of wear and I'd consider the belt a wear item anyway, haven't checked to see if you can replace just the strap... but the buckle feels bulletproof so I'd bet you won't need to replace it for a long time. Great value, especially versus velcro belts. Measure twice, cut once. Start bigger than you think, maybe try it out for a bit before you trim it again, but fitment should be no issue.

Hands down the best EDC belt I have ever owned!
I've owned this belt for almost one year now and it has gotten a LOT of use since it quickly became my favorite belt for carry! The belt is made for appendix carry, however I carry at 4 o'clock and I can honestly say that this belt is perfect for any carry position! It's the perfect level of stiffness, you can get your IWB holster locked up super tight to the belt without the belt being uncomfortable. Speaking of fit, this belt will fit ANY size, you simply cut off what you don't need. I like this system a lot. It's also very easily to adjust the tension of the belt throughout the day, I can discreetly make the belt looser or tighter depending on the situation and where I am. In non-permissive environments it's nice to be able to lock it tight and ensure you're not printing. It's not a cheap belt necessarily, but $60 is pretty darn reasonable for what you're getting. I have zero complaints with the Supreme Appendix belt. I just wish they would make it in more colors! That being said, the tan looks really nice and you can put together outfits for both casual and business environments with it. The only alternative I would consider is also made by NexBelt, the Titan. I like mine because it's in a color they do not make the Supreme Appendix belt in. Otherwise it's a very similar belt with the main difference being it looks more "tactical" and doesn't work as well for business outfits. The big wide buckle on the Titan does look cool though. Solution? Buy both!

Satisfied with this carry belt
So I haven't tried other reinforced CCW belts like this one before, I've just used standard dress belts or cloth belts tied down pretty tight. However, I was wanting something with a better, more consistent draw when I train as well as a belt that could hold up to the larger and heavy weapons that I've started training with more recently. And, at least as compared to what I was using before this Nexbelt has been far superior for that purpose. The belt is quite sturdy and feels very well built. I usually wear mine daily now so that I can determine how durable it will be in the long run (both as a CCW belt and as a daily use belt). This belt helps to provide a very consistent draw and doesn't shift under the weight of larger weapons. The narrow belt buckle works great with all the appendix holsters I own. As a daily wearing belt, even without my CCW, this belt has been comfortable enough as compared to my other dress and cloth belts. I can sit and work at my cube for the whole day and have not yet noticed any abnormal stresses on myself caused by the belt. There are a few things to note however. First: looks. I like how this looks. When compared with some other "tactical" products this doesn't come off as over-the-top as some can. That being said, it doesn't look a standard dress belt so it may stick out in public or at work if you have it showing (shirt tucked in). Next is the rigidity. The only time this has been a bit bothersome to work around is when I use the restroom as it gets in the way without being held by either lifting it up and forcing it to the sides (which also pulls the entirety of your pants since it is rigid all through out). This isn't a flaw persay since the belt is meant to be rigid, just something to note. Last is the noise. The mechanism that tightens the belt is audibly clicky and very much noticeable by others around you if you make adjustments OR when closing up the belt (like in the restroom). Again, not a flaw, just a part of the design. But this is probably the main thing of note for when you are wearing this belt around others daily. A easy work around I've don for this is to hold down the release button when closing the belt and tightening the belt to where I want it. Then, letting go of the button and making sure that the mechanism has engaged with the track and making any last adjustments. Doing it this way either makes no noticeable noise or only a small click or two, as opposed to clicking through the entirety of the track. All this being said, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good belt to use with their CCW and is serious about wanting something that will make a difference to their training.
