DIY card table top. I looked for months to try to find a table top for my monthly poker game, could not find it so I decided to make my own. I also ordered Lotuflor under padding. the table is an 8 ft collapsible and cards will not slide on it so here was my answer and how it was done. 1 sheet of 1/2 in plywood about $15 cut to size 8ft x 3ft. sanded the edges and cut the corners to match the table, added the padding, wish I would have done 2-3 layers and not one. added 4 IN to each side and cut the topper fabric. everything was stapled with a construction stapler 3/8 in staples. Stapled the pad on then worked on the top, its almost like a thin plastic, not felt, the worst part was getting out the wrinkles, I had read other reviews and that was also on an issue, tried a steamer and no luck it did nothing, put the fabric on the table card side up and used parchment paper and iron on low steam, it took about 2 hours to get the wrinkles out, it was the worst part of the project, when done added the fabric to the top again trying to pull tight but the fabric does not stretch. Hint have someone help 4 hands would have made it much faster and easier. End of the day it worked great, cards slid like hot putter on a knife, the guys were impressed and it's portable since it sits on top of the table. Total time about 4 hours start to finish, if you had 2 people 1/2 the time. It was worth the effort, total cost around $70

Was easy to iron out the creases. Looks great.
