This mattress met all my expectations as it pertains to comfort and support for the back. Was very easy unpack and setup.

I visited my brother and his family recently and the bed I slept on was a twin with a Casper mattress. I slept on that bed for over a week. Some days when I woke up, I didn't want to get out of bed because it was so comfortable. I've been sleeping on a Select Comfort (Sleep Number) bed for over 25 years and have not really liked sleeping on an air mattress for most of that time. The Casper mattress gives better support of a more traditional mattress, but it hugs you in a good way. Some reviewers stated that they saw less quality between the twin and queen size. My mattress was manufactured in June of this year and it's absolutely perfect. I'm very glad I bought it - and with the Cyber Monday sale price! I'm very thankful to get more satisfying sleep with my new Casper mattress. Ahhhhh....

I ordered this mattress just over a month ago. In my opinion it was too firm, but overall quality is fine. As per Casper's website as well as on this amazon posting, the 100 day risk free sleep trial is listed. When I attempted to return it, however, Amazon said it was past the 30 day window and couldn't help and referred me to the manufacturer. Casper on their end is unable to do anything and were surprised Amazon could not process a return/refund within the 100 day sleep trial. Now I am going through a dispute through my credit card but just a fair warning - I'd suggest buying from Casper directly for the trail as Amazon has been extremely unhelpful and their posting is misleading if they are unable to uphold the risk free trial.

The Caspar Original is advertised as a medium-firm memory foam mattress. While there is no standardized rating system for the firmness of a mattress, of the various memory foam and innerspring mattresses that I've experienced I would categorize this as a soft mattress. I haven't tried the other firmness designations of Casper memory foam mattresses so I can't speak to how their medium-firm mattress compares against what they would call firm and soft (I couldn't find a description of firmness on their site nor any product labeled 'firm' or 'soft') but to my body this is a soft mattress. That doesn't mean bad, it is very comfortable, it's just out of line with how most other memory foam mattress manufacturers use of the term 'medium-firm'. It is a very comfortable mattress and unlike many other memory foam mattresses does not even mention needing to let the mattress expand fully over a number of hours or even days, nor is there any talk of odors of any kind, only that it is ready to sleep on as soon as it is unpacked, which in my case I did. There was only the smell of my own worn socks which I could have done without if I had only thrown them in the hamper instead of leaving them on the floor next to the bed... It's a great mattress but it should be understood that it may seem soft to by comparison to other mattresses labled as 'medium-firm'.

I bought this bed because of hip/leg pain. I woke up after sleeping on the Casper bed almost pain free. Great purchase! My only complaint is that it has a chemical smell which I hope will go away in a few days
