Men's Leather Ratchet Belt - Customizable Fit (35mm)

I am very impressed with this belt! It is stylish, with a simple black leather belt and a matte black buckle, so it goes with any pants. It replaces an ordinary leather belt which was worn, with stretched-out holes. This belt has no holes, just the ratcheting strap on the underside of the belt, which engages with the pawl in the buckle. There is an easy-to-use release lever which disengages the pawl in the buckle. That ratcheting strip has many more positions than older belts had holes, which means the fit is far more granular and precise. With no holes, it always looks perfect. I like this one so much, I need to get a narrower one to use with the smaller belt loops in my shorts, and ditch the braided leather belt, also in very stretched and strained condition.

I honestly don’t know why we still use traditional buckles and holes. With standard belts, it is often impossible to get the perfect fit, and you shouldn't have to punch your own holes just to make a product work. The CHAOREN belt is incredibly easy to set up. You simply clamp the locking buckle onto one end of the leather, and you are ready to go. You can trim the belt for a custom fit if needed, but even for me—someone who usually struggles to find belts that get tight enough—this provided a snug, secure fit right out of the box without any cutting required. I've had this belt right at 6 months. This is a really nice belt out of the box. The white is clean and goes well with my golf pants and the ratchet system is awesome. I don't recall having any slippage once it's set. The convenience of the ratchet system is second to none. The one thing I have to take some stars off for is the cracking. After about 2 months I started noticing it and now at 6 months it's way more prevalent. I have another one of these belts in brown and it has shown no signs of cracking yet. I wonder if its something with the white. Overall this is a good belt, but it could be great. I have a brown version and that one is 5 stars. No cracking at all and I wear it more often for work.

I originally bought this belt because I was searching for a replacement for a similar style ratcheting belt I got on Kickstarter years ago. I couldn't find an exact copy but this one seemed like it was well enough liked and looked like good quality. I really have no issues with the belt at all except it's too long and that one's on me, and it can so be remedied easily too. The leather the belts made from seems like good quality and has lasted extremely well for a while now without really showing much is any wear and tear. This is also coming from somebody on the bigger side so the belt really needed to hold up. I don't rewmmw we how long I've had it now but I still use it at the time of this review and I really see no wear on it. The color of the leather works well with everything and the buckle is rally nice. It has a hefty good feel to it like it's good quality and the finish on the metal is really nice, it's smooth and sort of satiny feeling, idk but in all it comes together to look and operate like something high quality. The rachet mechanism on this is different than my previous belt but this one is so much smoother and I love it. My old one I had to seem to mess with it more to get it to click and lock right. This belt, when you get used to how it works is such a nice design that you can flip in a second or two with one hand if you need to change it quickly. The way the mechanism is made has the small lever on the top of the buckle so you hold and hit it with your thumb and it unlocks and easily adjusts. For this reason I don't exactly know about the reversibiloty of it because if it went the other way the lever would be on the bottom on the buckle and I haven't really tried operated it be cause it feels like it's upside down after using it like this. Overall I get too excited about things that just work and work well for what they're intended for and this is one of those things. Its just nice and satisfying and it just works and you dot have to fuss with something too much. The last thing I just realized I like a whole back was when I looked at the back of the belt, on the leather is stamped on the different waist sizes, so when the belt is too long, you can unhook the buckle with it's little teeth that bite into the leather to hold onto it with a little lever on the back side. Then you just cut the leather at whatever number pants size line you want your belt to be, slip the new cut end of the belt back into the beckle and latch the teeth and now your belt is whatever size you wanted it. Obviously you can't make it bigger so I just ordered big but I didn't expect it to be so easy to shorten either which was great. Overall I would buy another one if this one ever wore out or it's so convenient yiu could just get your own new strip of leather and dye and stitch that however you see fit and hook it to the buckle and new belt. I may actually just made different color strips and styles just so I can move the buckle around to different leather. Or I may honestly just buy another color to have options with less work too.
