Massive Audio BOOM88 400W Powered Hideaway Subwoofer | Ultra-Slim Underseat Active Sub, Built-in Class A/B Amp, Remote Bass Knob, High/Low Inputs, Compact Car Audio Bass System

I was looking for something for the family car that would play deep and provide bass my car was missing. I didn’t know what to expect for $100 but I have used Massive products in the past and always liked them. It is built well. Black brushed aluminum top plate. All of the connections were on one side, and the two sides had ribs to help vent the heat for cooling. I like the fact that you don’t need to use the RCA’s from the radio (just spliced the speaker leads) since I really didn’t want to mess with my dash. Easy install that fit perfect under the front seat, and nice to get a bass remote in the box too. I played a multitude of tracks on it, and was surprised at how good it sounded for its size. Thought about a 10 inch but I think the 8 inch speaker is the perfect size for the small air space. Quick bass beats were fast, dynamic and didn't miss a beat while playing with good authority. Deeper beats still had good impact, punch and low end extension. Extended beats had a nice full extended low pitch definition that only sounded a little muddy when pushed really hard. It had enough output to complement the stock radio and fill the car with quality deep bass but not be overpowering. In the end, it was just what I was looking for. I personally prefer at least a 1000 watt woofer in a ported box for my car, but that’s too much for my wife and family. This was just perfect for them, and I also enjoy having more than just factory bass in the car when I drive it with them. If you are looking to complement your current factory or basic aftermarket system with some deeper bass, this is something I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Appears to be dead on arrival. I will try a new cable and see if it works. The power LED is illuminated but no sound. The fault LED is extinguished. Not sure why it is not working. Alpine head unit is less than a year old and is driving the other speakers just fine. Update: changed the RCA cable and verified power. This is inop. RMAed. Amazon refunded the purchase price. I noticed this unit has been relabeled and is being sold under another name now. This generic Chinese made garbage needs to be removed from the site.

Small and compact, sounds good

This is one awesome amp!! It packs a nice punch that will enhance any audio system. I was skeptical at first sight thinking, ok this may give me a little bit of bass but, Wow was I wrong! Don't let the size fool you. It sounds great! I installed this Sub in my truck with an older Kenwood head unit and some 6.5" Infinity coaxials in the doors and rear cab and was amazed at the enhanced sound that I was hearing. It actually gives your audio a much fuller sound. Connecting the amp was straight forward. Read and Follow the instructions provided and you can't go wrong... Just buy it!!

Kind of bulky for my taste . Good material

I love this massive subwoofer. I didn't want something huge where I lost the back seat in my truck. But I also wanted something that gives me a little bass. And this massive sub does just that! I hooked it up in less than an hour. Am very pleased. Now I think I am gunna upgrade my speakers to massive brand.

I bought this just to have a little bass in my truck to listen to my music with. Didn’t expect much so it was ok for a while. My return window closed and a few days later boom it just stops working. The fuses didn’t even blow? I have done everything to get it operational to no avail. Just save up and buy something stronger.

Good for a small space. Regular cab truck or something of that size. Barely able to tell it is there in the trunk of my car
