Long Range USB Bluetooth Adapter for PC - 328FT / 100M, 5.0 Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver for Headphones, Speakers, Windows 10/8/8.1/7

I needed a Bluetooth transmitter to connect main computer to my audio system in the rec room. The signal had to travel through lots of cabling, a NAS server and UPS that generate EMS, and several walls to get to my audio system. I tried several other transmitters but they either had compatibility or range probs.This device was easily installed and blows right though all those potential obstructions with ease, giving me strong connectivity to my audio system. I have no complaints - whatsoever.

I had a more expensive (junk) version of a USB 5.3 Bluetooth dongle that was a pain to use. When I installed it, it came up as Generic Bluetooth Adapter and used drivers from 2006. It didn't come with drivers and when I googled it, nobody could find them, and when I asked the seller who also happened to be the MFR they claimed the drivers were supplied by Microsoft. This one shows up as Realtek Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter, with the drivers signed sometime in 2021. I read online that a lot of people had problems with 5.3 adapters mostly with delay and signal integrity. I use both my DualSense controller and AirPod Maxs connected to a Windows 10 machine with this, and the controller never drops input or has any issues, and my headset can go anywhere in the house and still receive audio data from this. Very impressive for just bog-standard USB power.

I had a need to be quite a distance from a USB source while providing music for a function. This device came in quite handy and saved me from having to move an entire setup a good 200 feet or so to be within range of the reciever.

TL;DR: If you have Google Pixel Buds, take heed:1) If it connects with your Pixel Buds right away, congrats!2) If it does not—just add it as a new Bluetooth device/pairing and it should work.I was initially frustrated when I ordered this. I have Google Pixel Buds and when I plugged this into my PC (Windows 10) it wouldn't connect to my Pixel Buds. I don't have a CD drive (the package comes with a mini-CD to install drivers) but I assumed that Windows 10 would recognize it when I plugged it in. I kept trying to remove the Pixel Buds from Bluetooth but it kept saying that it could not remove the device.I did some more troubleshooting for about 30 minutes—It turns out that if you add your Pixel Buds as a new device it will pair correctly. The sound quality is great! Previously I had an EVEO Bluetooth 5.0 in my computer and the quality was garbage. It was always cutting in and out sounds like throwing your favorite songs through a paper shredder.I hope this helps anyone that is looking for a new Bluetooth dongle.

update 2/1/22 - After using it for a month it has stopped working. No way to update drives, windows does not have the correct driver. on and on wasted time troubleshooting. Lesson we all know about made in China products. ugg.12/3/21Pure awesomeness with Skullcandy Crusher Evo and Windows 10 desktop. I have a souped up desktop, max processors, ram, SSD, vid card etc. BUT, the bluetooth on my desktop sucks. My amazing Skullcandy headphones had choppy signal it was brutal. BUT, I LOVE those headphones (best ever go buy them). So I ordered this Bluetooth device, disabled the one that came with my desktop. This worked instantly when I plugged it in. Windows found the drivers and installed immediately without the driver disk it came with (I don't have a stupid outdated DVD drive on it anyway). I then paired my Crusher Evo headphones instantly with this new bluetooth device (which took forever BEFORE I purchased this little bluetooth device). Oh my gosh, the range is SO far, and so clear! A++++++Finally, delivery. Funny stuff, I ordered this on Amazon 12/2/21 at 9am. It showed up at my doorstep at 10:05am and hour later. ROFL. So Awesome!

I live in a two-story house, and I've struggled with connectivity issues when moving between floors. This adapter has solved that problem entirely. This story begins with a problem: I couldn't keep Bluetooth headsets connected to my Windows Surface Laptop. So, I purchased this product to supplement the built-in Bluetooth radio. When I opened the product package, I found a mini-CD with instructions to install the driver before plugging in the dongle. I have an external CD drive, but I was afraid that, if I inserted the mini-CD into the drive, I'd never get it out. I looked at the product Q&A on Amazon and found a site to download the driver. When I tried to install the driver, I received an error message that said, "There are unauthorized Bluetooth adapters in your system. Please remove or disable the device, and click 'OK.'" I disabled the Bluetooth radio built into my laptop. Then I was able to install the driver. I'll let you know if the product solves the original problem.UPDATE: Well, it appears that this product has resolved the problem for which I purchased it. My Bluetooth headphones haven't dropped once successfully install the driver. I'm upgrading my rating from 1 to 3 stars.

Title says it all. My cats have chewed the crap out of it and it looks awful, so now I plug it into the rear of my PC so I don't have to look at it and they don't get any ideas about chewing it even more. But it still works great. I don't keep it plugged in all the time because I really only use it for wireless controllers, I used wired everything else. It's been almost 5 years.
