Dot to Dot Count to 50 (Volume 6) (Dot to Dot Counting)

I've bought other books in this series and so I was surprised when the numbers in this book were European (For example: the sevens with the line through the middle not looking like an American 7, and the 1s with a very dramatic line at the top looking more like 7s) which was very confusing for my 4 year old trying to do this book. The 1-25 dot to dot and the 1-100 dot to dot in this same series didn't have this problem and so I didn't even think to check - so I take full responsibility but I was still very disappointed. But Buyer be warned: if you don't want the European numbers then don't buy this book!

They use unusual font for numbers and my pre-K child who can recognize the numbers up to 100 has hard time finding numbers.For example 17 look like 74.They should have used more standard fonts. Very disappointing. Returning.

Yes, the 1s look like 7s, but you need to be flexible about what you see on the page. People have terrible handwriting and the sooner you learn how to adapt to different prints the better. For my 5 year old daughter it was confusing for the first couple of pages, but after that she was fine. Also, it only goes up to 50, so it's not like you have to worry about the kids confusing 15 and 75.And, now she's counting to 100. Overall, the book did what I wanted it to do. Help her learn to count to 50 consistently and then we moved on to the next book in the series. (Dot to Dot 100)

My father is 86 and has dementia. I purchased Dot Dot books for him. They entertain him all day. He loves to do them and it is great for his mind. Can't handle difficult books as he gets frustrated. After he does the books we donate to children's Sunday school class or day cares for the children to color. He loves that idea! I try to purchase by the case if possible. He can do 3 to 4 per day.

This books is average. We use dot to dots in our homeschooling to learn how to count and help with fine motor skills. In my opinion, the pictures in this book are a little weird. Like the penguin has a crow beak. The polar bear's nose is huge. The pics are a little off. We did have a good laugh. I would not recommend this dot to dot book.

My son loved his first dot to dot book that went to 20 by this same publisher. I had to order the others. He just started this book that goes to 50 and it's tough. Instead of the standard numbers you would find on a typewriter, these are handwritten in European style, I guess you would say. The 1s look like 7s and the 7s are crossed.It's very confusing for a 4-year-old. Why would a publisher do that?

This works great for the rehab patients gives them something to do when they’re sitting all by themselves

just bought this for my 5.5 yo son. He loves it. some are more challenging than others, need to pay attention to numbers and sequence, forces him to read and find the numbers. pictures have short and long lines to connect to work on fine motor skills. paper is thicker and good quality. really happy with purchase. we also have the same brand 1-100 when he masters this one.

By repition they will learn and have fun at the same time. Great for kindergarten.
