Best $10 ever spent on amazon !
I live in Florida and have coconut trees all around me. We normally just discard the coconuts that fall and most people just throw them out on the curb as rubbish. I started researching how to open a coconut and watching YouTube videos of people smashing coconuts on rocks or dropping them from high distances to get inside. I saw this on amazon totally thinking it wouldn’t work, but decided for a laugh I’d give it a go. I was shocked at how easy it was to use the tool and get inside a coconut. I was even more surprised to see how much water comes out. Love this tool so much I’ve been buying them for neighbors. One note though : this only works on green/yellowish coconuts that are still not mature. Once the coconut gets to mature size, the actual hard shell coconut ball envelops the water and it’s no longer easy to penetrate. Then you have to hack and slash into it.

Very sharp. Couldn't figure it out.
I couldn't really get it to work. It is very sharp, so it went in with no problem, but I couldn't pull it out. I also broke the handle off of the knife tool but I find ways to break everything. If you know how to use it, it's great. The straw was obviously great and good quality.

Works with just 4 fingers
I live in a Caribbean country. Coconuts grow in my back yard, but I've never been able to open one until now due to my less than stellar skills with a machete. Thanks Ken, whoever you are. I can now join the ranks of coconut sipping islanders with this nifty tool. Heck, it even works using the hand with 4 fingers (there was a machete, a coconut, it did not go well, but I digress)

Good, could be better.
Makes drinking out of a coconut much easier and safer than trying to open it by other means like a machete. Takes a minute to get use to but easy once you do. Cutting into the coconut is easy but taking the top piece off isn't the best with this tool. Also, once you open the coconut and put a straw in, you can't really set the coconut down at all as it doesn't balance well. So you have to hold the coconut the whole time or be very careful setting it down. Overall works well though.
