Blue tone black
Used it on whipped cream frosting and it wasnt as dark as I was hoping. Used about 10 large drops.

Works well, doesn't taste too chemical-y
My son wanted a black cake for his birthday. I made it, it looked awesome, and surpringly did not taste bad either. I'm very sensitive to food dye coloring and the result is usually overprowering, but it did not destroy my frosting flavor. Teeth on the other hand... get the smiley pictures BEFORE you eat!

Alright
Very pigmented but not pigmented enough to fully saturate something without emptying almost the whole bottle. Ended up with black lips and teeth.

Great Black Food Color
One of the best black food colorings out there. Develops quickly and really intensifies overnight.

Just a few drops and you’ll actually get black icing
A friend told me about this gel color so I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did. Previously I’d use an entire container of gel color and get MAYBE a dark grey. The royal icing in the pictures wasn’t more than half a dozen drops of this stuff. Of course the color darkens overnight but that’s to be expected with most colors. Hands down the best black I’ve found for my cookies.
