Delicious green tea, tastes like it contains evaporated milk
Tasty tasty tasty tea, with a smooth, milky taste and smell. You can get many infusions from a couple tablespoons. I bought it to make kombucha because of its low fluoride content, but itโs so delicious that Iโve now renewed my tea drinking habit.

incredibly Good
I only wish I had tried Tealyra's Milk Jin Xuan Oolong tea many years ago. It has a light ghee taste without the fat you'd normally get from actual gheeโsomething I no longer can consume after switching to a vegan oil-free diet. I find it very soothing. This will definitely be a regular go-to for me. I'm moving away from coffee, and this will make the transition a lot easier.

Wonderfully creamy tea
This tea is confusing to the senses. Itโs a light color green tea in appear with the aroma an taste of condensed milk with notes of toasted caramel. The condense milk aroma and taste is very light and was enhanced when I added a small amount of almond milk and a bit of sweetener. Itโs warm and comforting like a piece of bread pudding. I was able to steep the leaves twice to yield very delicious cups of tea. Though the price was a bit high. This tea is delicious.

Good oolong tea though not my favorite flavor
I usually buy the osmanthus oolong and it's one of my favorites, but decided to give this one a shot since sometimes I make boba and chai with my tea. Overall, the tea comes with very nice creamy aroma when you open the bag, it's fresh and nice. You can smell the settle milk aroma from the tea pot too, and the oolong flavor is good as usual. However, this was not my favorite as it does not give enough creamy taste while also changed the tea taste a little, and I guess oolong is not the best match with this very faded mild milk flavor. Beyond that, the tea quality and texture are good as usual.

... tried milk oolong at a local tea tasting and loved it! It is a tea without any flavoring ...
I tried milk oolong at a local tea tasting and loved it! It is a tea without any flavoring or scent added that is bursting with an unusual flavor and fragrance due to the dramatic temperature differences the leaves are subjected to during growth/harvest. My local shop, alas, doesn't carry it because it's usually too costly for their clientele. I bought this from Tealux wondering if it could be as good because it was much more affordable than other milk oolongs I priced. I was very pleased with the quality of the tea. The dry leaves have that same amazing fragrance (it smells like a cherry danish to me!) and it brews a delicious cup of tea (smells like buttered popcorn). Very smooth pleasant tea. Milk oolong is very light, much closer to green tea than black tea. The leaves are huge when they unfurl, as is the norm for milk oolongs. Highly recommend!

Bitter and CoffeeโLike โ Not What I Expected
I was really looking forward to this tea, especially since I enjoy creamy, smooth milky oolongs. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointment for me. Instead of the soft, buttery flavor I expected, the taste came across bitter and surprisingly coffeeโlike โ and I absolutely hate coffee. The bitterness overpowered any milky notes, and the roasted edge made it feel more like a light coffee brew than a tea. Even adjusting the water temperature and steep time didnโt help soften the flavor. If you enjoy teas with a strong roasted profile or something closer to a coffee vibe, this might work for you. But if youโre looking for a true creamy, gentle Jin Xuan experience, this wasnโt it for me.

Condensed milk smell. Not for multi-steeping. Try real milk oolong first.
Iโll start by saying that I am in no way an expert in tea. But after years of espresso/coffee making, I do have very decent โpaletteโ (so to say) for tasting and aptitude brewing substances to their best potential. And I have tested 11 milk oolongs just this week. Summary: 1. Far too strong of โcondensed sweetness milkโ (some call it coconut) smell from tea leaves (unnaturally so in contrast to other โinfused with milk or flavorโ milk oolong Iโve tried - btw no such smells on real milk oolong). 2. The taste on even 1st brew does not have enough of the smell transferred to the taste buds. Too subtle in contrast to less โsmellyโ kinds. Either needs to taste more or smell less. 3. Usually milk oolong gets most flavor on 2nd-3rd brew - this one while a decent tea for all brews, looses most of this infused โmilkโ taste after the 1st steep. So it becomes just a nice light oolong โ thatโs not a bad thing .. just not a good one if โmilk oolongโ is what you want. 3. Since it does not re-steep that well, I would suggest adding dried coconut along with tea for steeping. Tastes as it smells if you do this. 4. Not thrilled about the description portraying the method of infusing with milk as โtraditionalโ (canโt double check if that was the exact word used, but close). Makes it sound like thatโs how real milk oolong is made, when itโs not. If you donโt know any better, you may believe itโs a genuine proper milk oolong. All in all, itโs quite alright as a tea, if you donโt know real milk oolong or like havenโt like me checked every single listing twice and read every review and then purchased and sampled 11 different milk oolongs (both real and flavored kinds). Should you pick flavored or real? DEPENDS. If you donโt plan to steep it more than 1-2 times, just get flavored. This one will be just fine (but there are far better). If you will steep it at least 2-3 times every time (and 4-5 some times) then pick a real milk oolong and let the flavour develop. If you want to try real milk oolong, you should probably start with those. Itโll be hard if you get used to the added flavour to really enjoy ones you actually have to โtasteโ to appreciate. If you read this - wow, good job! Itโs far too long. But I hope this review helps.

Milk Oolong is soooooo good!
For those who have not tried this, you MUST. Milk Oolong is my favorite tea. It's great hot and iced. Being an Oolong, It contains ~27mg of caffeine per two teaspoons I believe. This makes for an uplifting energy felt when you drink it. After drinking this tea, my body feels lighter. This is so tasty, that I am drinking it while I type this review. It's much cheaper and tastes the same as some Milk Oolong I picked up in San Fransisco. Would recommend. :)

Amazing tea!!!
I am usually not up to leaving reviews, but I had to do this one! Our family is "tea lovers" and we've tried many different milk oolongs, but this one is really special! The taste is pleasant and quite delicate and at the same time fragrant with a silky smooth finish. Just WOW!!! Outstanding tea!

Smells strongly of ghee
It tastes fine... upon opening the package, i was suprised how much it suddenly smelled like buttered popcorn jelly bellies. Now I make my own ghee, and am used to the smell. It is not one that you necessarily want your tea to smell and taste like. I think labeling it "milk essence" is a bit of a jump there. More like butter essence. If you enjoy a concentrated butter flavor on the caremel side of things then you may like this. Not something I shall be getting again.
