First of all, I have no hair salon school experience lol but I decided about 8 months ago that I was going to try to do my own hair again since it's gotten so expensive!! Doing my own hair can be a challenge but knowing the color chemistry to it and making sure not to turn my hair green or orange- we are in business lol 😂 (I posted my hair before and after I did the color for my hair too). I first started to do highlights on my hair for awhile then I decided I would like to do some dark brown undertones within my hair by using foil. I have to say this product worked amazing!! It smells so good!! I loved the fact they put a pre-color serum in the box to add onto my hair prior to coloring because I think it made a huge difference!! Plus I didn't need that much color to put on the foil and I was so impressed!! I left mine on a little longer since I was doing a partial foil around 40 mins which was perfect!! what I did was I took one foil out at a time rinsing the color out and so forth so it wouldn't go onto my other colors of my hair. By doing that, it didn't go into my blonde. and I'm definitely going to keep using the product for future purposes

I use the shade "intense cocoa" and it is perfect for me. It's a deep, very dark warm brown with a hint of red. I find it to be neutral - not too warm or too cool in tone. It covers grays like a champ. The formula works great for me - but be sure to FULLY rinse or your hair will feel sort of crusty/brittle. If you fully rinse, it will feel soft and healthy, it gives me great shine as well.

This is the best box dye that I’ve ever used. Not only is the color picture accurate, but the dye and conditioner left my hair softer and silkier after using it. I used the colors 4.6 and 4.0 to get this beautiful deep chocolate color to my hair. My hair was at a level 9 blonde in the middle to ends and an 8 more near the roots with my roots grown out. I did not use any red filler before applying the brown dye because my hair already had a ginger tone left in it and the 4.6 was red based. I mixed the two dyes evenly in a bowl and applied it to my whole head and roots (except for my blonde skunk stripe). It turned out beautifully. I highly recommend this dye!!!
