I used the outdoor power stake for powering our outdoor Christmas display this year. It replaced an old Westinghouse model. It worked very well; kept accurate time and never gave me any issues. Easy to program; the manual on/off is easy to access and use as well. There is a large opening for the 6 power cords to go through so that the cover is able to be closed. I plan on using this for years to come.

*** update to my previous review: changing from 1 to 5 stars. After I charged (left plugged in) for 24 hours, instead of the 3 hours listed in the directions, it magically started working properly. The timer now turns on and off at the programmed times. I found it originally a little difficult to switch from manual to auto mode but with some ingenuity I got it to the Auto mode. It now works perfectly and I highly recommend.** The item was shipped and delivered fast and seemed to be just what I wanted. Unfortunately two months later I am trying to use it (I purchased in August on sale specifically to use in late November for holiday decorations) and the timer function just doesn’t work no matter what trouble shooting I try. I followed the instructions carefully and everything is set up perfectly and it should automatically turn the lights on at 4:00pm then off at 11:58 pm. But the timer function will not work. So what I’m left with is an expensive regular extension cord. The return window closes one month after purchase. My bad for not programming and trying it out right away.

It works perfect and the digital display makes it easy to setup and adjust on / off times. For me, the only drawback is the power cable, it should be a little longer (at least 3ft longer)

This had one of the largest internal capacities I could find. Unfortunately it was just a tad bit shy of being large enough for the ground fault plug for our pool pump. I'm sure with any regular plug for anything not equipped with a ground fault plug it would be perfect. There are spring loaded doors that would seal any normal plug wire. I took that feature out (a couple of tiny screws to remove, so if need be I can put it back in) and inserted a rubber membrane to keep the opening sealed. Everything else on this item was perfect for my needs. It also has a small tab for locking it closed (I used a zip tie). UPDATE: If you are using this with a pool pump (or anything with a GFC plug) the GFC will trip every time the timer shuts off. Defeats the purpose of having a timer. After a lot of research online I learned that by replacing the GFC plug with a heavy duty outdoor rated 3 prong plug the timer will function properly. But because of safety concerns one should NEVER run a pool pump without a GFC. I replaced the GFC plug with a 3 prong plug and took the GFC plug and put it on the timer wire in place of the 3 prong plug. That way I have GFC in the circuit. The advantage here is if I use the timer for other outdoor things (lets say Xmas lights or ornaments) it will have a GFC. Win Win. DO NOT do this unless you are very sure of your abilities to CORRECTLY and SAFELY change plugs. DO NOT simply splice in wires using electrical tape. Install the wires inside the plugs where they are protected from the elements. Electricity CAN AND DOES KILL....

Easy to mount on a wall or post. Comes with an optional stake for mounting in the yard. Easy to program. Allows several different on/off routines to be programmed. There isn't any dusk/dawn sensor, but that's really not necessary. You can simply schedule an on/off routine to match the sunrise and sunset. There's no proximity sensor, but those sensors are usually pretty problematic. It has a spring loaded cover for the outlets, with ample room for plugs. The cover also has a clip latch and tabs for a padlock. It has six outlets and includes 15 amp overload protection. In all, this BN-Link Outdoor Power Strip is pretty nice. I recommend it.

Came on time - packaged well - exactly as described - easy to use - used at Thanksgiving and Christmas - look forward to using more often - color is great - very durable

It does the job for the most part, but it comes on at weird times instead of the time we have it programmed for. It’s supposed to turn the outdoor lights on at 5:30 every night but sometimes it’s as early as 4pm and other times they don’t turn on until 7 o’clock.
