Perfect under my small eating nook table. Low pile, easy to vacuum. Laid down nicely, color was just as shown in the photo. I got the gold. Great value.

Bought it for my dorm room, great plain color I got many compliments for it, the rug is super easy to vacuum and low maintenance, lasted me my whole school year and will bring it back to school.

I bought 5 of these (a 10' x 14', two 5' x 8', and two 2' x 10' runners) to darken the floor of a room I'm converting into a home theater without needing to pull up and replace the original carpet. All 5 of these rugs had a horrible chemical smell at the start. I've now tried a few rugs from a different brand that have a similar (but weaker) smell so I do not think this is unique to the Nourison Essentials brand. The first, largest rug, I simply let it air out in a room with a big fan and open windows for a week which got rid of the worst of the odor. With the latter four, they were small enough to hang over the backyard fence and spray with water for 15-30 minutes (each). The water kept coming off slightly foamy so I just kept going at it. Anyway, air drying for 3-5 hours outside in the evening sun and wind did not get them completely dry, so to be safe I gave them each 24-48 hours suspended in front of a fan. The odor remained at the end of all of this, although much weaker. [Edited 2026-06-01] There was another horrid smell in the room that turned out to be caused by some of the black curtains I used, and I'd originally blamed it on these rugs. Rating adjusted to 4/5 stars. It would be 5 if the rugs didn't smell completely awful when new. Other than the odors when new, these seem like decent quality rugs. They aren't super thick or soft, but that is exactly what I wanted, and they are also not bath-towel-thin like other cheap rugs.

I chose this for strictly indoor use, and it is exactly what I needed. In looking at it, I dont think it would work for outdoor use. Not sure how it would drain as the backing appears solid. But the knap is super short, so it could work for protected outdoor spaces (just broom off debris). The backing has a light nub texture to help keep it in place on the floor, the seams are well stitched, and I dont notice any off coloring or cut. I placed it directly on top of another 5'x7' carpet of same size (style, and feel), and it all lines up perfectly. Size is exactly as expected. That being said, keep in mind that they include this in the description: "Due to the detailed construction of our rugs, both handmade and machine-made, sizes may vary by up to three inches in width or length." and, "Rug pad recommended" The coloring is exactly what I wanted. I have an old house that hasn't been updated since probably the 70s. My office room has this chartreuse green wallpaper that I am rather in love with. The room used to have cream carpeting, but after some failed attempts to clean it, I eventually tore it out and put down an extra area rug until I found a more coordinating color. I found that in this green color. It is a celery green, and it works well with my other greens in the room. I am giving it a generous 5 stars because it is exactly as expected, and it appears the same as it does in the picture. It meets my needs, and I would consider this brand again. However, if wallyworld had theirs in a color I needed, I would have gone with that for half the price. This is prettier though. I bought it when this was $52. It was more than I wanted to spend for a lightweight carpet, but the coloring was important to me. I dont rate on price anyway as we all have different budgets and needs. I focus more on quality, how an item matches product description, and how it works for my needs. For that, I say it all lines up, hence the 5 stars (4.5 if I could). PS. It came well wrapped. I was able to roll it out onto the floor and it took no time to lay flat. Looks great! If I see anything else, or if anything goes bad, I will be back to update.

Great price for a huge rug and looks more expensive. Took a few weeks to settle out creases from shipping. Beautiful warm cream gold tones, but still goes well with white, grey, olive or brown furniture. Somewhat soft. Thin, but I like it that way so you don’t see vacuum markings and a Roomba easily moves over it. Edges haven’t curled up either. :) Could add a pad underneath, but we didn’t….mainly for looks and it’s fresh.

Great rug, Dies not show wear nor tear! Hides dirt on pathway into kitchen! Great choice forhigh traffic areas!

It is not a bad rug, it is just that it looks more textured or woven in the photo and in real time it looks like the texture is only kind of painted on...however it is a very nice colorful bright rug. It is not slip proof and I did not read the description carefully enough.....

Just got this today, so I cant say how it holds up or cleans yet. However, this appears to be great quality for the price. Heavy, lays flat and is soft. Removed a star bc it has a very strong “rubber glue” or cement glue smell. I can smell it downstairs and it is upstairs in my sons bedroom. Hoping it only takes a day or 2 to air out.
