My mum had received one of these for a Christmas gift. I was also offered one but declined because I didn’t think I would use it. How wrong I was! After trying it once I was on Amazon straight away. The heated blanket is like slipping into a warm bath. I am a naturally cold person and most nights I cannot wait to get under my blanket in front of the telly. It’s such a joy. The heat settings are good with a range from 1 to 6. 6 is too hot, 3 or a 4 being optimum. Obviously the parts of the blanket with the heating element get the hottest, but it seems fairly well distributed and so hot spots can be avoided in the main. There is a timer function with auto shut off so you can choose between an hour, 3 hours or 9 hours. The feel of the blanket is a lightweight and soft fleece. It can be washed in the machine if you unplug the control and is not too bulky to put through a washing machine at home. I believe that there is a more expensive blanket with a ribbed design which is a little more bulky but I am happy with this one. As soon as I get this out the dog jumps up on the sofa in readiness. He knows what’s good. I believe that this doesn’t consume much energy and so can be a God send in homes without much heating, or for the elderly or ill who feel the cold. I’ve had it a good long while now with no issues. It seems safe although I always unplug when done. Recommend to all.

Pros I cannot say how pleased I am with this Dreamland heated blanket, wish I bought one years ago. Heats up really quickly and is super warm. I put it on number 6 if it’s really cold to get it heated up initially and turn down to number 2 to maintain a nice temperature. That suits me, but there are other options as temperatures go from 1 to 6. The blanket is so thick and soft, is warm even without the heat on. Also great it can be machine washed. I use it on my armchair and now my husband wants one too. It is really easy to use and has 1,3 and 9 hour timer settings. Would recommend this product, saves putting the heating on so a plus all round. No cons I can think of.

This Dreamland Electric throw is very soft and snuggly, but it’s only big enough for one person. We had to buy two. It’s very soft on the skin and heats up quickly. It has a heating temperature between one to six. We find number four is nice and warm. It keeps its warmth to the hours set and simple to operate. The only drawback, is that it only allows three time settings. One hour, three hours or nine hours. It would be more beneficial, if you could set the hours that you prefer. However, it’s still a lovely electric blanket and would recommend it.

Repeat purchase. I use mine all the time. I have bought it as a present many times and the recipients repeatedly tell me that it one of the most useful gifts that they have ever received.

I bought the blanket for my wife in October and even though it has had only light use - ie it's just been draped over her knees while she works - it has stopped working after just six weeks. We have tried resetting it according to the manufacturer's advice but it is dead. Like so many things, the quality appears to be lower than a similar Dreamland over blanket that we bought for our daughter in 2014. My daughter used it all through her uni years and it has been used on every cold day since. It has survived being folded tightly, screwed up, stored, trodden on and repeatedly rolled over by the wheels of my office chair. It is thicker and heavier than the new one and obviously made out of more robust components. What a shame companies have to downgrade quality to a point where it fails. Extra info - Dreamland replaced the faulty blanket after a long wait which they said was my fault because I needed to resend them my address. They don’t talk to the ordering department at their own firm so it was easier I get my address from me. After a six-week gap I got the replacement. Sad thing is, that one has also packed up after about three months so will they acknowledge it’s flawed or will I have to pay for an unheated blanket. Meanwhile our old Dreamland blanket bought way back in 2014 which as previously mentioned is thicker and better-made, continues to work every day.

I couldn’t do without this heated blanket. It was a bit more expensive than some of the others but this came with a 2 year guarantee so felt safe knowing i could return if needed. The blanket is sufficiently large enough to wrap around/ cover an adult body with a variety of heat settings and timer so you can choose how warm and length of time. I have had it on 3 hours timer and no. 6 heat setting which has been more than enough - probably too hot for too long! It’s been especially cold these past few months in the Uk so this has been just what we needed to keep warm and cosy without having to have any heating on! I bought the mustard colour which is a good thickness although the wires can still be felt in some areas. I bought another in grey for my husband. An excellent purchase and would buy again

my son bought this throw january last year ,for me , i hav problems keeping warm and even with heating on i was always cold .. . . . . .BUT ever since ive had this its a pure joy to just turn it on and instantly warm n cosy its been used ALMOST daily, been washed three times and is as good as new, will instantly replace when this one dies the death, what a GREAT product its made my life so much better.
