Kirk's Original Coco Castile Bar Soap Soothing Aloe Vera, 4 Oz

This is fantastic soap. I've been using it for ages now as both shampoo (no need for conditioner) and for my face and hands. I used to waste so much money on fancy shampoos and conditioners for my long hair. Other kinds of soap and shower gels almost always cause my skin to break out (and I'm a lady of mature years), too. With the news about all those horrible microbeads in shower gels and whatnot, there's all the more reason to use a soap such as this. No plastic container, either -- just paper.

Vendor was fast and delivered on time. I've used Kirk's Castile soap since the 1960s. I may have other soaps, gift types, fancy perfumed types, but this is my go-to-soap. However, since the recent buyout of our local supermarkets, the new stocking style is left to vendors, so the current vendors only stock their soap brands and have pushed out the old fashioned standbys. Couldn't find Kirk's anywhere, which is weird because of the current interest in coconut oil products, and simple mild soap for babies, and the home laundry. I thought this was a good price per bar, comparable to the old store price, because gas and fighting traffic to get somewhere that still carries Kirk's on their shelves would actually cost me more. It's coconut oil derived so no animal products for vegetarians and vegans. Really, what a weird time for the market to drop such a popular concept! This style of Kirk's is odor free. Wash on, rinse off. Our water is rather hard in minerals, which is why I've used Kirk's for so long. I read somewhere long ago when copra was king, sailing ships used coconut soap because it would lather in sea water. So animal free, gluten free, coconut-good-stuff, no perfume, mild on skin, lathers in hard water, rinses clear, and reasonably priced. Why not? I'm still using it.
