Pretty easy to use and set up. I used the thread lock and let it sit for maybe 2 hours and it’s fine. ( Do at your own risk ) Only thing I don’t like after looking others up is there isn’t a side hook to let it drag across the bottom of the water source. Rather, with the hook on top it drags at an angle.

As a beginner to magnet fishing, I was looking for a kit that was easy to use and had everything I needed to get started. This kit exceeded my expectations. If you are interested in fishing for rusty nails, this is a great product. If you'd like to pull up anything more substantial, they are terrible. I watched smaller pocket knives fall off as they are lifted out of the water. Sure, they are cheap, but they don't do much other than pull rusty nails and even those are relatively easy to brush off. I can feel the magnet stick to larger objects and then any pull pressure what-so-ever pulls them off. I have several much larger magnets. I bought these because I forgot my magnets at home while on vacation and just wanted something to play around. They aren't worth playing around.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I have looked it over. The magnet has a good lock on metal items, found out accidentally while looking at it. The magnet pulled a wrench I had on the bench and locked on. About 6 inches away, the gloves stretch enough so I can put them on my hands comfortably, and it appear to be a good quality, especially for a beginner or secondary magnet kit.

This is our first experience with magnet fishing and it was actually fun!! This was an interest of our grandson (we are raising for nearly 8 years now) who is 10 years old. He showed us YouTube videos he had discovered and wanted to try it! So being new at this we didn't want to spend a bunch of money on something that is used once and goes in the closet! After much comparison we chose this kit because it wasn't too costly, and seemed to have all he wanted to start with. We have a old creek behind our house and a bridge over it, his first time out he brought up a 4 foot metal pipe!! He was so excited he wanted to keep fishing but it was only 32 degrees and windy but we are excited to go back out to haul in more treasures! This kit is just right for him and we are looking forward to more fishing!!
