How does this attach to the laptop? Will it stay attached when moving around though the room with laptop in hand?

The KLIM is made to be placed on a flat surface. It does come with double sided tape so you can attach it to your laptop. I would recommend not attaching it. And walking around with it would not work because it needs to stay plugged in. I use mine flat on my desk sitting against the laptop, pushed firmly against it.
