Great steel on a slick platform.

A marvelous knife design, made by an Army combat veteran, and profits go to help other American veterans. I'm an Army veteran, myself, and it's important, to me, yo support fellow veterans and their loved ones. I'm also a knife junkie, and a survival/self defense advocate, and this is one of the best, fixed blade knives I have ever encountered. The weight, size, blade quality, and handle design are just marvelous.

I feel like I have a very fine, well thought out miniature breaking knife in my hand, or a very beefy filet knife or trimmer. Something a kind of street chef would not leave home without. The blade has a very fine edge that comes to a very fine thin point. The last inch of the spine is quite thin, and therefore limits its ability as a true combat knife that would maintain its thickness nearly into the point. In other words as a hard use combat knife this thing is going to lose some portion of its point 100% guaranteed. A stand in pry-bar this isn't, and a large bone would definitely snap that point off. Deployed as a defensive tool used to untangle yourself and get away it would work quite well. The knife out of the box was not as sharp as I would have liked, but about 10 minutes on a razor strap with green compound and it is now shaving razor sharp. How will I use this knife? Probably to help friends with prep work in their kitchens at get togethers and cookouts, as this is as fine a cutter as you will ever get at this price point.

The knife is perfect, the sheath is very good (this is really a 4.5 star here). The knife is damn sharper out of the box then most knives I have ever bought (Esee, Case, Kabar, Sergio Consoli, Cold Steel, Marfione, Schrade) and feels great in the hand. IF the sheath had been wider to accommodate more belt lock holes to provide a better range of carry, THAT would be a 5! but since there is no 4.5 lets bump to 5, cause its my EDC saved my bacon twice so far.

Austin McGlaun absolutely knocked it out of the park with this design, and CRKT made it affordable for average Joe's like me, while also donating 10% of the profits to a veteran organization.I bought this knife because I only have a few small fixed blades. The primary purpose of my blade would be as a secondary weapon to my primary. Since it has such a deep belly this thing can double as an everyday carry blade for day to day tasks.I have heard rumblings about the Rockwell hardness being lower than some like (but I don't think they truly understand HRC ratings). I want my defense blade to be tougher, not harder, to avoid breakage under extreme use. The harder the HRC the more brittle the material.I highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a great EDC large fixed blade, defensive blade, or just a cool knife to enjoy and tinker with!#crktunderground

Not just a weapon but a work of art!! Giving me the ability to do simple things like cut knife or myself while I was getting used to the rubberized grip which is great to hold on too. Don’t get me wrong, I cut myself a couple times while I was getting a feel and playing with it. That’s the best way to get familiar with any knife so you can take action without having to look at it, without thinking you’ve gone tactical on instinct!! I wear it horizontal behind my back and even the case is perfect. I normally get mine custom made but there was no jiggle or play at all. Just the sharpest Raptor claw whenever you need to turn from prey to hunter. A must for anyone that wants top of the line self defense. And it came SUPER sharp so watch out.

It's such a good carry and light on the waist. The clip is a secure system.

they made a awesome knife very sharp be careful. don't cut your self getting out if the package. as with most crkt stuff very good knife. I say a good buy for a awesome knife.

Everything from the edge geometry to the weight/balance is astounding. I have bought dozens of CRKT knives before but this one is by far my favorite and my new EDC. The only thing I would like to see different is a more compact belt clip. This one is very robust beast which is nice but a bit heavy for a comfortable carry, which is a minor detail considering the awesomeness of the rest of the blade and sheath is. Thank you CRKT for making!Update: it is now March 10th I've used this Incredible blade now for over a month, and I feel compelled to come back to my review and correct my opinion on the belt holder. Yes it is still big but... the benefit of being able to attach and de-attach it from my belt or shoulder holster is a huge, quick and easy to remove, which far out ways the cons of the size. So this beauty is now a 10/10 for me. By far my favorited blade I've bought. Thanks again CKRT and McGlaun Designs for making such a beautiful Clever Girl!
