When I’m restoring parts for one of my collectible Jeeps, I spend far more time on preparation than I do painting. A quality primer makes all the difference, which is why I decided to try Dupli-Color’s 2-in-1 Hi-Build Primer.It arrived quickly and was packaged well with no dents or damaged can. The spray pattern was consistent, making it easy to build even coats without fighting the nozzle. I especially like the high-build formula because it helps fill minor sanding marks and small imperfections, saving time before applying the color coat.After allowing it to dry, it sanded down beautifully and left a smooth surface that was ready for paint. The gray color also made it easy to spot any areas that needed a little more attention before moving on to the finish coat.Like any paint project, surface preparation is everything, but starting with a quality primer gives you a much better foundation for the final result. This is a particularly pungent filler/primer, and you will definitely want to let it dry for a week so that all the gross volatile components work their way out, but it does a good job of filling. You will need a lot of it. I painted three coats on a 12 x12 inch PLA printed mask and it took the entire can. Dries to an almost powdery finish that is very good for painting on top of after a light sanding.

Excellent paint. It saves much time sanding out scratches.It sags much more than regular primer, but you just have to use lighter coats than with other primers. It's so easy to sand off excess, sagging isn't a problem anyway.
