Frizzlife FZ-3 Replacement Water Filter Cartridge For MP99, MK99, MV99 & MS99 - With Scale Inhibition

I’m picky about water and this makes my water taste and smell like water should. It lasts almost the three months with our use as all cold water is filtered instead of just a drinking spout. Works as intended and you definitely know when it’s time to change it because the water loses quality again. Decent design but the case is often difficult to open initially.

Does not reduce scale, but seems to do a fine job filtering chemicals. Great value for what it is. Filter housing is well built and the filter is easy enough to change.

You will notice the difference in water quality immediately. Before replacing the filter, I saved some water in a bottle and compared it to the water after the change—the difference was like night and day. I change mine about every 3 months, though this depends entirely on your location, the building you live in, and how old the plumbing is. However, for your first time, I'd suggest changing it within 3 months to give you a good baseline for how often it needs to be replaced. Since the filter itself is pure white, seeing how dirty it gets will honestly shock you!

That’s a photo of the first time I changed the filter. Grosses me out thinking of what I would be drinking without the Frizzlife water filter system. When I moved to this neighborhood, I noticed immediately that the water tasted awful! My doc & I had a discussion and he told me about my local water purification ..or lack there-of…and I had been hauling gallon jugs of drinking water from the store. I did that for prob 10 mo before I discovered that putting a filter on my cold water wasn’t a big deal. I was in my late 60’s at the time and I installed the whole thing myself. The actual hardest part was getting back up off the floor! The filter in the photo was after about 18 mo because of what the description claimed. I suppose it depends on the water quality of the area, but, now I change the filter at the very least once a year, not every two. (It’s just me & my cat) The whole filter system that I got was under 90$ and the filters run 20-25$ depending on which one you get. I live in an apt, so when I moved to a different unit, poof…I just brought it with me. I drink a lot of water, so this has saved me a bunch of $ and I’m not dealing with the guilt of buying plastic water jugs & then putting them in the recycle bin.

I bought a new plumbed in coffee maker and the warranty required that it be connected to a scale inhibiting filter. Most of the filters I found with this feature were well over $60. This filter was less than half the cost of other similar filters and fit nicely into my existing Frizzlife canister. The water quality coming out is excellent. Other reviews have mentioned that the filter came with a "crease" along the side and suggested this was a defect. Not so. As you can read in the product description, unlike other Frizzlife filters, this filter has a pleated filter design to increase lifespan and water flow (probably to accommodate the internal filter medium that reduces scale). The pleat may be wider along one side of the filter but the filter will still do its job.

Have used FZ-2 filters for a couple of years - replacing every 6 months. They are great. Just tried the FZ-3 and it has the same quality, fit, etc. Supposed to be a more efficient filter. Without lab analysis it is hard to tell.

These do a great job on taste and odor issues: the water comes out crystal clear with no funny smells or tastes. Our water is heavily chlorinated and that seems to be completely removed. I used to have to buy gallon jugs of water for the dog and the snake because of all the chemicals in our water, but since we have this filter I can refill the jugs from the tap. Likewise, I can fill the stock pot to brine the turkey at Thanksgiving from the tap now. My only complaint: these do nothing for calcium (or whatever causes the while sediment in the coffee pot). That's the reason for three stars. In our water, these last about 3 months. The flow is the same as the F-2.

Filter very convenient to use and replace at half the cost of other filters

I have these on S&S. Well made and last a long time for City water. Never had issue with Frizzlife and their customer support is top notch. To add, less waste unlike some other filters.

Membrana esterna in rete (Plastica) quindi probabilmente bevete microplastiche, membrana interna in Stoffa (Come molti altri se non fosse che è mal posizionata lasciando fori enormi), dopo averlo montato ho notato subito nell’acqua dei residui bianchi di non so cosa. Ritorno al filtri FZ-2 in stoffa, nettamente migliore non avendo tutte queste pecche a parer mio gravissime. Sconsigliato, non acquistatelo.
