Not for sure, I used it on concrete but it is worth a try!

is it slippery? I would like to mark edge of stairs

I used it on a tile floor. It is not slippery.

Will this leave a residue on tennis courts? We want to use it to marklines for a pickleball court.

I don't know. It hasn't left any residue on my bare concrete garage floor, but a) it's not in direct sunlight there, and b) I have no idea what the pickleball court material is (painted/unpainted, epoxied, polished, raw, etc). This is a classic case of "your mileage may vary." Best bet would be to apply a test piece and let it "soak" in the summer sun for a month, then remove it and see for yourself.
