Perfection. Pure perfection.
I have two sets of lock laces (and will probably buy more in the future!) that I use in my running shoes. I am *sold* on the benefit of these laces. Why? 1) They can be used, as Ron Popeil said, in a "Set it and Forget it!" way. When "installing" these laces, you put the shoes on, then lace to the tightness you prefer. You then set the "lock" on the lace, cut the extra lace a few inches from the lock, and attach the end clip. To loosen the laces, you then just move the lock down the lace, and to tighten, move the lock up the laces. It is EASY, and once the laces are set, there is VERY little that has to be done. 2) They are adjustable (to a point), so if you are wearing thicker socks, or have to wear an ankle brace while running, there is room for expansion. 3) They **do not** come undone while you are running. They stay fastened! How often does that happen with regular laces? Almost never! 4) If you have a sock slip out of place while running, you won't lose much time at all if you stop, loosen your shoe, fix your sock, and retighten your shoe. It takes mere seconds to do. 5) You can EASILY adjust these, even with frozen fingers. Have you ever tried to untie a knot or retie your running shoes in the winter, when your fingers are frozen? It is very difficult to untie and tie laces with frozen fingers, which can lead to minutes of lost time. Lock laces are easy to manipulate, even with frozen fingers, so that risk is much lower. 6) The elastic laces offer compression over the entire top of the foot. That's a VERY good thing for blood flow to the muscles. 7) The laces are water-resistant, so splashing mud doesn't make your laces filthy. If they DO get dirty, though, they are machine washable, so they can be cleaned up easily. 8) They are CUTE. The lock laces come in lots of fun colors-- white, black, gray, bright blue, bright yellow, red, orange, brown, pale pink, chartreuse, reflective olive green, reflective blue, reflective pale blue, reflective gray, reflective purple, reflective bright green, and reflective bright pink. 9) You can get the laces SUPER-TIGHT, which helps with heel slippage and blister development. 10) They last! I often kick my shoes towards the wall when I get home from a run, and the plastic clip has hit the wall many, many times. It has yet to break! They also don't rot or ravel over time. I've only had to replace my lock laces when I replace running shoes because each set is made to conform to a particular shoe. While I *might* be able to reuse the laces if I buy an identical running shoe, I cannot because I change " shoe models" often. I would HIGHLY recommend Lock Laces to anyone who needs an easy-to-use lace. I *wish* I had thought to use them in my shoes when I had to wear a splint on my wrist for two months. It was very difficult to tie my shoes, but it would have been easy to just use lock laces!

These Work
Finally, a pair of elastic shoes laces that actually work the way they were intended to. Lock Laces are simple to run through your shoes and they work. My favorite like about these laces is that you can adjust them on the fly thanks to the locking device. If you needed or want them tighter, it's a simple tug on the laces through the lock and you're done. When you slip them off, it's the same thing just in reverse. The no tie method with these laces is so convenient that you'll want to replace all of your shoes laces with them. Although I do have to say that they look their best with athletic shoes. I went with the color black because it's universally bulletproof and the color just matched my shoe the best. If you're in the market or thinking about elastic laces but have fears of them not being tight enough, slipping off or not quite working well, fear no more. Give Lock Laces a try, you'll them. I mean, I play pickleball and got the gym in mine and I have zero complaints. Awesome laces at a great value for your money.

Great addition to my Hoka shoes
These Lock Laces work great. I installed them on my Hoka shoes, and they make putting my shoes on and taking them off much easier. I no longer have to tie and untie my laces every time, which is a huge convenience. The elastic laces provide a comfortable, secure fit while still allowing enough flexibility for walking and everyday use. Once adjusted properly, they stay in place and make my Hokas feel like slip-on shoes without sacrificing support. This is a simple upgrade that makes a big difference. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a more convenient way to wear their shoes.

Very good but with one design flaw
Most no-tie shoelaces are designed primarily to turn your shoes into slip-ons. If that’s all you’re looking for, there may be better options. These laces do something a little different. They still let you slip your shoes on and off easily, but they also allow you to tighten or loosen the fit whenever you want. That’s their unique selling point. If you’re looking for laces that won’t come undone, keep your shoes snug all day, and still let you put your shoes on easily, these are an excellent choice. The laces are more like an elastic cord than traditional fabric, which helps keep the shoe securely in place. To get all of those benefits, however, I found that you need to use them a little differently than the instructions suggest. This exposes a design flaw. I still think these are the best no-tie laces I’ve used, and the flaw is easy to fix by buying two pairs. The laces pass through a round spring-loaded locking toggle. You press the toggle to loosen the laces when putting your shoes on, then release it to lock the fit for the rest of the day. This system works well, but here’s the problem: if both lace ends are secured in the same plastic end clasp (as shown in the instructions), repeated loosening and tightening eventually causes one lace end to slip out of the clasp. Other reviewers have mentioned this too, so it doesn’t seem to be an isolated issue. Once a lace end slips out, the elastic cord begins to fray and unravel into individual threads. Those frayed threads will eventually pull out of the locking toggle as well. Once that happens, you can’t feed the frayed end back through either the toggle or the clasp. The only solution is to cut off the damaged section, shortening the lace, before reinstalling it. Here’s the my fix: buy two pairs of laces so you have twice as many end clasps. Install the laces normally, but when trimming the excess length, leave yourself a little extra slack. Instead of putting both lace ends into a single clasp, put each lace end into its own clasp. Using one clasp per lace end completely prevents the ends from pulling out, while preserving all of the advantages of the tightening mechanism. It would be even better if you could just buy one extra set of clasps.

Great laces! Highly recommend 👍
Great laces! These were for my mom who has some hip problems to the point that she couldn't bend down to tie her shoes. I helped install these laces for her and she absolutely loves them! It's been very helpful for her to be able to put on her shoes without needing to bend over or needing extra assistance. She just sits or stands while slipping her feet into the shoes and they slide in smoothly while the laces are perfectly tightened to her liking. They also match the color of her shoes too! She loves them!

You wished you got them sooner
These are one of those small upgrades that make a big difference. Once you set them up, you can just slip your shoes on and off—no more tying and re-tying every time. The elastic gives a snug, comfortable fit without feeling too tight, and you can adjust the tension pretty easily. They work great for everyday use, especially if you’re always in a rush or just want convenience. I also like that one size fits pretty much any shoe, so you can trim them to fit exactly how you want. Only downside is they don’t give quite the same precise tightness as regular laces, especially for intense workouts—but for casual wear, they’re super convenient. Overall, a simple, practical upgrade that makes life a little easier.

Great laces, different instructions
I decided to give these a try and I love them. Tips for putting them in your shoes. There are great videos on how to do it but I recommend one change. Instead of putting the shoe on then lacing, I recommend lacing the shoe and putting the lock on before putting the shoe on. Leave the lock near the lace ends then put the shoe on. Now tighten as you would have with regular laces. When you have them as snug as you want, slide the lock down in place and finish as shown in the video. I tried lacing with my shoe on and I was having trouble, but I found that doing it the old-fashioned way of lacing then putting the shoe on works just as well. But you have a little more control and flexibility. There are two ways to start the lacing. with the lace on top and poking down or under and poking up. I did the poking up start. I wish I had done the poking down because the lace across the top of the shoe and poking down is the perfect place to poke the clip to keep the end from flopping about. I do recommend these. I recommend the videos for instructions, but lace the shoe the first time before putting it on.
