Q: How do you get it to open once inside? I have been trying for literally 2 hours and feel like if i try again i'm going to tear *myself*

You need a different size! Not all size s/l are the same size. Each brand is different. Don't get hung up on charts that tell you what size you need. I'm older have had a few babies have heavy flows but my average size is a 0 or 1. I hate the large sizes. Some are 3+ inches tall some only 1.3 inches tall and bigger does not mean better. The cup has to fit you not fill you. Also some are softer more flexible easier to open but if you get a stiffer one I suggest boiling it for maybe 20 mins it will soften up some but this will also cause it to not last the lifetime they say they are good for lol but you'll get a year or 2 out of one that is over boiled. Another option is to run it under warm water right before inserting

Q: Do we need a lubricate to insert the cup??

Not necessarily, but you can if you find it difficult to put in even with your vaginas natural lubrication. I've noticed though that if I need extra help on that end that alittle goes a very long way!

I bought the two pack of small about a month ago. Looks like it sold out
