I actually had initiated a return for this toaster because first tryout was half a bagel using the ‘bagel’ button, setting on 4, and the bagel was beautifully toasted on one side and only lightly toasted on the other. So, immediately, I initiated a return. Then I thought, okay let me try an english muffin before I return it and sure enough, put english muffin in, used the ‘regular’ setting and cranked it up to ‘4’, and my muffin was perfectly toasted, all sides. SO what I think (and I probably should read the instruction manual lol) is that when using the bagel button, it will toast darker on one side & lighter on the other. In between all this experimentation I popped in a corn muffin top, perfectly toasted. Toasting capabilities aside, the toaster is really cute. Even my husband, who usually is oblivious to this sort of thing, said ‘honey that’s a cute toaster’ which makes me happy since I keep my toaster out on the counter. Very happy with this little appliance.

Great looking toaster. The box was damaged when it arrived b ut the contents are well packed and had no physical damage. It works great and love the retro look.

Was leary based on other reviewers complaints about burned toast. Was excited to see there is a cancel button on the unit which prevents burnt toast. It truly depends on the type of bread you're using. For White bread stick with the 1st setting and watch the toast so you can cancel, if need be, when it toasts to your liking. For whole wheat/grain/seed bread use the #3 setting and again, watch the toast so you can cancel if need be. For bagels play around with it. I mean really, if your mindful of what a toaster is and what it does, then this shouldn't give you any problems. It's a solid unit, nice aesthetic, and the price point is decent. Update - After 10 months still no issues and works like a champ.

The color and style is fun and it works fine - nothing fancy. However, at least on mine the bagel setting seems backwards. If I press the “bagel” setting it’s a light toast, even on a high number. The default setting is VERY dark and burns bread on anything above 2. So I hit “bagel” for bread and leave it off for a bagel and it’s perfect. Seems like a mistake but glad I figured it out right away.

This is a wonderful toaster, love the color (red) & it toasted my bagels & bread perfectly! I recommend this to morning people who like toast with their breakfast!

The toaster does not toast evenly. It burns the toast on the side of the insider toaster coils enough to make the smoke detector go off. The outside coils work alright. I tried lowering the dial number but still the same. The outside coils respond to the change but the inside still burns both sides of toast that are on the inside coils. Very disappointed - not really useable. Also not identified as a Frigidairre item on toaster!!

I haven't used a toaster in yrs., used the toaster oven. I must say this a great toaster, better than any of the ones I used before I started using the toaster ovens. A lady said it is the best she has had in 50 years, I had to try it, I am totally pleased, choose how dark, if frozen, there's a defrost & for me I like the slots, they accommodate wider & fatter bread slices. I lived the nostalgic times so that wasn't a big deal to me, it appears like an old-time radio sitting on the counter, with the black & whitish-gray speckles granite. Lastly, it does have a hidden pull-out slot to remove crumbs.

El diseño vintage es muy padre y luce lindo en la cocina, es ligero, calienta/ tosta super bien el pan, tanto así que debes regular bien su temperatura. Me gustó definitivamente.

Does what it's supposed to do. Toast. It toasts nicely and evening and while you will have to figure out the setting for the level of toastiness you prefer, it works well when you do. The only weird thing is how it toasts bagels. I've had to slot the bagels in with the toasted side facing the exterior of the toaster. Not sure if I'm being clear, but basically it's not intuitive for me to put in bagels without trying to remember which side of the slot the element turns on, and I find it a bit odd, but maybe it's just something that needs to become habit. Either way, for the cost, this is a good value toaster and it looks awesome to boot.

Bigger than what I thought it would be which is nice, the retro style fits nicely with my kitchen, and excellent value! Would definitely the toaster and the seller, very well packaged and just as described
